What's Next?

What's Next?
Hosted by IcyBooks

My Choice's for what's next:

It's always really hard for me to pick a book. That's part of why I'm a sucker for a game it makes it a little easier however I don't have any games starting till next week. I do have a reading challenge that starts tomorrow to read a whole selection of romance books over the next couple of months. Since I won't be done till late today with my current read I plan to read one of those books next. Here are a few choices off my list.

Alienated by Melissa Landers

(Goodreads)
I've had this one for review for a while.

Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them.

Handpicked to host the first-ever L’eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she’ll have inside information about the mysterious L’eihrs that every journalist would kill for. Cara’s blog following is about to skyrocket.

Still, Cara isn’t sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L’eihrs have nearly identical DNA, but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn’t seem more alien. She’s certain about one thing, though: no human boy is this good-looking.

But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx to class.

Cara finds support in the last person she expected. She realizes that Aelyx isn’t just her only friend; she's fallen hard for him. But Aelyx has been hiding the truth about the purpose of his exchange, and its potentially deadly consequences. Soon Cara will be in for the fight of her life—not just for herself and the boy she loves, but for the future of her planet.

On Dublin Street by Samantha Young
(Goodreads)
I've been recommended this book more times than I can count.

Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…

Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well—until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.

Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.

But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her… down to the very soul.

Which would you read?
I'm also open to suggestions for future books to read.

  1. I've read both and loved both. I actually just finished Alienated a couple of days ago. It all depends on what you want to read. Alienated is a light YA dealing with aliens. Whereas On Dublin St is a big more hot and heavy since it's NA.
