My Answers

What is the kindest thing anyone has done for you? I've been dying for a big dog forever. My hubby got me a Malamute/Husky puppy. I've had him since he was 8 pounds at 5 weeks. Now he's 9 weeks and almost twenty five pounds. He's going to be a monster. So my hubby traded in our crossover for my dream truck in essence. A new Dodge Ram 1500 so I would have room to take 100 pound dog everywhere and still fit the kids. Yup nicest thing ever he wins. But don't tell him that. 

What is most memorable about your high school years? During my junior year my mom died in a fatal car wreak I've kind of blocked out most of high school so I don't have any memorable memories. 

Have you ever gotten up early for a "black Friday sale"? As a kid and into my teen years we used to do it as a family. Split up and conquer you could say. However now a day I'd rather stay home make a pot of coffee bake and read. 

Were you named after anyone? my middle name is "Lauren" after Lauren Bacal

Would you bungee jump, skydive or something similar? Yea nope never going to happen. I'm scared to death of heights and see no reason to jump off a good bridge or plane.

What was the last thing that made you cry?
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where you gonna go?

What was the last thing that made you cry? I just watched The Wedding Date with Debra Messing & Dermot Mulroney for the millionth time. It's one of my favorite to watch when I'm craving a happy ever after love story. (IMDB)

What chore do you absolutely hate doing? I'm torn between laundry and dishes. My hubby pretends he doesn't see dishes in the sick or laundry needing to be washed so it's all me. 

What is your favorite form of exercise? I like to walk but I don't do it enough now I've got the motivation to do it daily. So he's forcing me to be more active. I also am a huge Zumba fan but I've not connected the Connect since we moved yet but it's on my to do list. He's so cute I just love sharing about little Grimm. However carrying the 8 week old 19 pound puppy downstairs and outside in the middle of the night is getting old fast. However I guess that's extra exercise. 

What is your current desktop Picture? My background is one of the few pictures I the only picture I have of my mom as a teen. She was photographed at the cabin that she built with my grandfather. 

You just got a free plane ticket to anywhere. You have to depart right now. Where you gonna go? This question makes me giggle. I live on a Air Force Base. My hubby is a flyer and I hate to fly. So yea I won't be taking that ticket anywhere because I won't get on a plane. However if it was a train. I'd be all for a train ride to Newport Oregon it was my favorite vacation spot as a kid.

Things you'd rather be doing right this moment? Considering I have to drive my 11 year old to school off base since he's not been switched yet in 15 minutes anything. So I'd rather be reading I'm super behind with my reading this year. I've only read 32 books and I wanted to be at over 50 by March. 

Time wasters? Surfing the web, watching T.V. with the hubby or kids, and just playing stupid games on my phone. 

Books they should make into movies? I used to have a huge list now it's dropping down but I'm down for anything paranormal. I'd love to see Anita Blake on the big screen or Mercy Thompson. I've read several really good mermaid books that would be fun as well. 

Things you wish you knew before...I wish I knew better then to accept more reviews then I can handle and still enjoy reading the books I want to read. I have a huge collection of books I've purchased that I've not had a chance to read. 

Games you like to play? I play Bakery story on my iPhone with my sister and cousin. Plus a few others. I play World of Warcraft once and while not as much as I used to since all my WoW buddies seem to have quit but I'm always looking for new WoW friends.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? Newport Oregon, as a kid my family used to vacation either camping or staying in a hotel. I became a instant fan and fell in love with the whole coastal area, all the little towns are fantastic. I dream of having a beach house on the cliffs overlooking the ocean so I can read, be artsy and watch the whales. 

Favorite Literary Characters? Mercy Thompson she has a new book coming out that I'm dying to read. 

In your wildest dreams, which author would you love to co-author a book with? I've always thought I would write a book but I'm very good at writing the first few pages and giving up. I much more enjoy reading over writing. So honestly I'm not sure who I would want to partner with someone who would push me to finish however I can only get past the first page. 

Things that bring a smile to your face? My kids, my hubby, a good book, anything chocolate or coffee. I also have a weakness for sappy movies. 

Do you have a favorite saying? Nah I'm kind of boring. Maybe one day!

Pieces of Advice you have for aspiring writers? Eek I guess I would say don't give up and if you get a bad review don't let it get you down. 

 Favorite TV show when you were younger? "Jem and the Holograms" I can't remember how old I was but my mom maid me a Jem costume for Halloween. I've been trying to get my 3 year old interested since they are all on instant play netflix but she's not. I also love and still love " I Love Lucy" she kills me and I joke because my hubby likes a soft bed and I prefer hard that we will have beds just like them. 

What would we find if we looked under your bed? Not a thing. I'm packing to move on base in a few weeks and I checked but if you looked before I looked under it you would have found several pairs of shoes and cat toys.

Book Store or Library? Neither. I know it's horrible to say. I can't use the Library because I have a 3 year old who used to destroy my books if I left them low. Or my cat when he's mad will pull them off the shelf and chew on them though I think I curbed that habit  Plus as kid I was horrible at bringing them back and now a day I love to fill up the book shelves. So I buy to keep forever. I do most of my book shopping online at Amazon or a few other sites. Why? because all I have is a Barnes and Noble in the area all the little guys have closed up. 

Heads or Tails?  I always just take what the hubby didn't.

Favorite late night snack?

Is there anything you would like to say to or ask your favorite author? I'd love to ask Laurell K Hamilton why her Anita Blake Series I love so much turned to more smut then story. I loved Anita when she was kick ass and I still love her but I don't like the way she's currently going. 

Are you a dreamer or a realist? I've been a dreamer since I was little with a huge imagination which sometime overreacts. Like when it's dark the hubby's deployed, I've been watching or reading creepy stuff and I hear noises out side. 

Theater or Rental? The hubby's loves to talk through movies and it embarrasses me when people look at him when he babbles. So for sure Rental plus I can sketch and drink coffee while we watch the movie. Oh my sofa is way comfy compared to the movies and I have p.j's with my warm fuzzy blanket. 

Share a family tradition. I had a lot growing up but since I married my hubby and our life currently revolves around the military nothing is the same from year to year so it's hard. Growing up my family had a ton of crazy traditions. My favorite was each Christmas dinner my parents would make food from a new country. For example one year we had all Bask Food so they made a wide variety of new foods. They my grandparents would come over, it was always interesting because sometimes we had some really unique stuff. Now that I have kids I would love to do this maybe not Christmas since I never know where we will be for the holiday but maybe for some holiday. I love to cook so many it's time I start this tradition for our family.

 Favorite late night snack? I love to cook so I would say homemade Pretzels the big soft kind. They have to be fresh and hot out of the oven too. Now that I think about it Might have to make a batch today.

1. Hearts Burst into Fire by Bullet For My Valentine - I love these guys my favorite of all time.
2. Shadows Of The Night by Pat Benatar - I love all her music this is my favorite.
3. Amanda by Boston - Yup got to love my song.
4. I've Had The Time Of My Life by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes - Best song in my favorite movie.
5. Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen - I love the music video and my three year old sings this song all the time.

How much time do you spend reading each week?
I try to read several hours a day like today I read off and on all day so maybe like 8 hours but most days around 5. I love to read so I try as much as I can.

What is the last thing you Googled?
Tattoo's we've been watching a Tattoo show on TV so both the hubby and I have been thinking of unique ideas. My next one is going to be a Sandworm from Beattlejuice my 2nd favorite movie., I just can't bring myself to tattoo Beattlejuice on my body so the sandworm is great it should make for a unique tattoo maybe wrap it around a stack of books.

Favorite places to travel?
I don't like to fly so I don't travel much if it's far which is funny because I'm married to a guy who fly's go figure. I love Newport Oregon we used to go every year as a kid. I plan to one day after the hubby get's out to buy a beach house just outside of Newport. Then I can spend my days read, sketching, watching whales, cooking and picking up agates

What is your favorite way to spend a rainy day?
I love to bake so fresh cinnamon rolls, hot coffee and a good book.

I'm addicted to reality shows on food network, plus I love Survivor and so many other reality shows. I love Lost Girl, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Heart of Dixie, Revenge, Scandal, and so many more to many to list.

If you could take over the world, would you?
Nope I'm way to non-confrontational the idea of having to tell people what to do would make me crazy. I'd rather let my hubby run the world he's very confrontational. 

Who was the first boy you kissed?
That was so long ago I think it was third grade I want to stay his name was Gary but I can't honestly remember.

How do you unwind?
Coffee and a good book but it's better if the kids are in bed and the house is silent.

Summer or Winter? 

Truth or Dare? 

Where is your favorite spot to read? My reading time is most on the sofa, and in bed before I fall asleep. I hope to have more room for a big bean bag chair when we move the six foot ones look perfect to read on. 

Are you a fast or slow reader?(You can test your reading speed here) The test says I read 471 words per minute which makes me 88% faster then the national average and rating with average college students. Now I wonder if I can teach myself to read faster, going to add that to my to do list. 

Fanfition - Love or Hate it? Have you ever read/written it? Never read any of it before nor have I written any of it. 

Summer or Winter? Summer I hate being cold. Hence I'm thrilled to live in Northern California over Boise Idaho where I grew up. I hate snow so much just wish it was more then 40 outside right now. 

Truth or Dare? I've not played truth or dare in years, but I'm a open book so I'd pick truth because my hubby can be creative and his dare's scare me. He might make me fly with him and I hate to fly.
