Each book can be read as a standalone, with a happily-ever-after ending, and clean, sweet-without-losing-the-heat romance!

Opening line
Esther Pinnett groaned as she rolled over and silenced her alarm.

Review
Ester has been driving as a chauffeur on the island for years she started her own business. She's been driving Marshall for years to and from work secretly crushing after him from a distance but never acting on it. She knows how he likes his coffee and his love of puzzle books. When a thoughtful birthday gift opens Marshall's eyes to the woman who has been driving him for years and maybe she's not just his driver anymore.

I love Esther right from the start she's adorable this quirky character you can't help connecting with and her love interest Marshall just works perfectly for her. I like the chemistry between the two it works so well. I love that we are intertwined with Fisher and Stacey from the prior book.

I actually dove right into this one after finishing the prior book it was another sweet clean romance. This is my second book by the author and it's another beautifully written story. I finished this one in just a few short hours it was hard to put down. I enjoyed the authors writing style it's smooth and she's created a quick fast packed novel. I can't wait to read the next book and see which girl from the Womans Beach Club is going to find love next.

A local island B&B owner hates the swanky high-rise hotel down the beach...but not the billionaire who owns it. Can she deal with strange summer weather, tourists, and falling in love?

Stacey Stapleton owns the premier bed and breakfast on Hawaii's big island, and she's not happy about the new twenty-eight story monstrosity disguised as a luxury resort just down the beach. When she books a night to find out what the rooms at Sweet Breeze are like, she's impressed with the amenities, the view of the bay...and the tall, dark, and handsome room service attendants.

But she's sworn off men and is focused on her own B&B, her Women's Beach Club of friends, and living up to her grandfather's legacy.

Fisher DuPont is the billionaire owner of Sweet Breeze, his first solo business venture since finally leaving his father's company, and he's been moving through each department as an undercover boss. So he's the one behind the room service cart when Stacey opens the door. When he runs into the sassy, gorgeous redhead three more times that day, he takes it as a sign to get to know her better--and reveal his true identity.

As Stacey and Fisher spend more time together, she learns he's absolutely brilliant, unusually kind, and incredibly hardworking. He's impressed by her grace under pressure and dedication to clients, friends, and family when a storm hits the island. Can Stacey and Fisher leave their past heartaches where they belong to build a new future together?

Opening line
Stacey Stapleton replaced the phone in its fancy-pants cradle, casting it a glare as if it had done her a personal wrong.

Review
Stacey owns her own B&B on the island but she's curious to check out the competition so she books a night at the hotel in hopes of gaining some intel. She never expected to meet a handsome room service guy on her stay. When she encounters him several more times that day it almost feels like a sign till she learns that he's the competition. Can Stacey see past the fact that Fisher is her competition or is it too much to give him a chance?

I loved Stacey right from the start she's a sweetheart whos running her family's B&B and in her free time, she spends it with the ladies of the Women's Beach Club her group of friends who get together. Fisher is kind of perfect for her they complement each other well.

I really enjoyed the authors writing style it's a fast-paced clean romance which I found refreshing. The story is captivating and the characters are easy to connect with you can't help liking them right from the start. I actually finished the book in one afternoon as it was hard to put down and I had to know how it would play out for Stacey and Fisher.

Amazon | B&N | iTunes | Kobo

Excerpt from Unearthed
…in the Glen a nightclub where the Fae like to gather Lights flash and magical mist pours across the dance floor, allowing privacy to those desperate for touch. Fae aren’t plentiful, and neither are establishments for us to gather. That’s what makes the Glen fun. It doesn’t just bring my kind together, it frees us. No glamour, no pretending. We discuss magic and the old realm, curse Death for destroying it and celebrate our survival. With a shimmy and a shake, lavender and silver wings sprout from Dahlia’s back. She stretches, relishing the feel of simply being herself. She winks at me, her glimmering lavender eyes and lips radiant. A drunk mountain troll stumbles between us. She releases my hand, allowing him through before clasping my hand and guiding us through the gyrating swarm of bodies. “Let’s have a drink, darling.” I squeeze her hand. Fae are affectionate beings. In the human world, we cage our need to caress, embrace, and make love. It’s a way to keep our identities secret and another way to prevent Death from finding us. Bill’s broken glamour was a result of a stolen kiss. It revealed his form to a human and worst of all damaged his talisman. Our talismans remain the only way to hide from those who hunt us. Without them, it’s a death warrant with our executioners often seconds from being collected. A banshee sprints away from the bar and through the swarm of Fae. With all the grace of a swan, she leaps into the air and straddles the male who entered behind us. “David!” she screeches. “Sorry,” she adds when we groan and cover our ears. “David” loses his tiny accountant persona, morphing into a giant cyclops with a long blond Mohawk. He laughs, catching the banshee when her legs break free of his widening waist. She screeches. Again. The thought of that voice in the throes of passion makes me cringe. “David is going to need serious earplugs to get through the night,” I mutter. Dahlia giggles, her laughter like wind chimes in the soft breeze. “Perhaps. But it will be worth it, darling,” she sings. ©Unearthed, Cecy Robson, LLC September 2019

Review
I received Unearthed in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by Caffeinated PR. Olivia hasn't had great experiences when it comes to Death after all she lost her father when they made the jump from Fae to earth and lost her mother and sisters not long after. She's encountered the hounds a few times and lived to tell the tale but when tragedy strikes close to home she is forced to make a choice. Continue to hide and run from Death or stand up and fight to save her friends and people who are being hunted into extinction.

I really liked Olivia right from the start she's a pixie who lost her wings and thinks that she has no powers of her own. Until the night everything changes and they learn that she is the key to changing the way things work. I wasn't sure at first about Ryker till the night he showed up and revealed who he really was the king of Death. In essence they learn that while Ryker is death it is Olivia who is life. These two have a lot of chemistry as they set out to change the way things work. We also have a few supporting characters I really like Jane she make me giggle because I can just imagine her typing slowly at a computer, as well as Bill the successful partner in the firm who happens to be a Gargoyle.

This is my first book by the author and I wish I hadn't waited so long because she had done a beautiful job weaving a captivating story. The author is clearly a gifted I ended up not being able to put it down and finished it in less than 24 hours. The characters are easy to connect with you can't help enjoying each unique one. The concept is new it's an exciting twist on the whole death and reaper concept that I found truly fascinating. I've always been a fan of the Fae so when I saw the cover for Unearthed I knew I had to read it and I'm so glad that I did. I can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend it might be my new favorite of 2019. I honestly loved everything about it it's a beautiful story.

Alyssa Gardner hears the whispers of bugs and flowers—precisely the affliction that landed her mother in a mental hospital years before. This family curse stretches back to her ancestor Alice Liddell, the real-life inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Alyssa might be crazy, but she manages to keep it together. For now.

When her mother’s mental health takes a turn for the worse, Alyssa learns that what she thought was fiction is based in terrifying reality. The real Wonderland is a place far darker and more twisted than Lewis Carroll ever let on. There, Alyssa must pass a series of tests, including draining an ocean of Alice’s tears, waking the slumbering tea party, and subduing a vicious bandersnatch, to fix Alice’s mistakes and save her family. She must also decide whom to trust: Jeb, her gorgeous best friend and secret crush, or the sexy but suspicious Morpheus, her guide through Wonderland, who may have dark motives of his own.

Opening line
I've been collecting bugs since I was ten; it's the only way I can stop their whispers. Sticking a pin through the gut of an insect shuts it up pretty quick.

Review
Alyssa's life has been far from easy growing up knowing that she's descendant of The Alice from that classic Lewis Carrol story. She knows it's only a matter of time before she goes mad just like all the other women in her family have. Alyssa has watched her mom go mad and after a recent episode, it looks like the only option to help her mom is electric shock therapy. Alyssa knows that if her mom has electric shock therapy she will never be the same and one day she will be in her shoes. The only hope for her mom is to venture down the rabbit hole and figure out how to break the curse.

With no time to wait Alyssa takes off on an adventure that will change her life forever. Little did she know when she jumped down the rabbit hole it would be dragging Jeb her neighbor and crush with her. Forced to work together to fix what was put wrong by the original Alice is the only way that they will make it home. Together they will challenge risking it all life and limb to get out alive.

I've had Splintered on my TBR list forever after all I pre-ordered it when it came out so it's been on my pile for a while. At first, I was waiting for the series to be completed as I knew that I would gobble them up one after another. I am after all an Alice in Wonderland addict. Splintered just happened to fit a reading challenge so it was a perfect time to dive into the story.

I really liked Alyssa right from the start I found her easy to connect she's unique which I found refreshing. She may be a descendant of The Alice but she's as different as she can get. I wasn't sure at first about Jeb her love interest but the more we got to know him the more I liked him. I wanted to dislike Morpheus but he has this charm about him. The concept for Splintered was captivating it has the classic charm with a modern spin. I truly enjoyed each page and found it hard to put down. I ended up devouring most of it in one afternoon. I loved every page and can't wait to read the rest of the series and see what happens in wonderland.

Laura Grey, a veteran governess, joins the Selwick Spy School expecting to find elaborate disguises and thrilling exploits in service to the spy known as the Pink Carnation. She hardly expects her first assignment to be serving as governess for the children of Andre Jaouen, right-hand man to Bonaparte's minister of police. Jaouen and his arch rival, Gaston Delaroche, are investigating a suspected Royalist plot to unseat Bonaparte, and Laura's mission is to report any suspicious findings.

At first the job is as lively as Latin textbooks and knitting, but Laura begins to notice strange behavior from Jaouen-secret meetings and odd comings and goings. As Laura edges herself closer to her employer, she makes a shocking discovery and is surprised to learn that she has far more in common with Jaouen than she originally thought...

As their plots begin to unravel, Laura and Jaouen are forced on the run with the children, and with the help of the Pink Carnation they escape to the countryside, traveling as husband and wife. But Delaroche will stop at nothing to take down his nemesis. With his men hot on their trail, can Laura and Jaouen seal the fate of Europe before it's too late?

Opening line
Paris 1804

"Around the back," said the gatekeeper.

Review
Laura Grey has joined the Selwick Spy School her first mission is to go undercover as a governess which she's had lots of experience as. She's on a mission to report anything suspicious about the plan to unseat Bonaparte. It's clear after arriving that she needs to purchase some books to teach the children as they are lacking. Bundling up the kids they set out on an adventure in Paris encountering several characters.

It isn't long that Laura starts to piece together the things going on with Jaouen and his work. However, things spiral out of control when a blast from her past comes into play and her secret identity is almost revealed. As if that wasn't enough now someone she cares about is about to be wrongfully accused and they jump into action. Saving the day with an elaborate plan that will risk them all.

I'm not a huge historical fiction fan but I instantly was drawn into Laura's story it's captivating right from the start. I admit the book was read out of order but each book seems to tell a different story and I don't think that caused any issues reading out of order. I found the concept super interesting a creative spin on the Neopolianic war times.

I really liked Laura as a character she was easy to connect with right from the start, and I was drawn into her story. I wasn't sure about Jaouen but the more we got to know him the more I liked him as a potential love interest for Laura. Who says you can't fall in love with the man you are sent to watch and end up saving. This is my first book by the author and I'm a huge fan. I look forward to going back and reading from the start.

Claire is a twenty-something, single mom that grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he's asleep) toddler a better life.

When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time.

With Carter's undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire's panic that her stretch marks and slim to none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.

Warning: contains explicit sex, profanity and enough sarcasm to choke a horse.

Opening line
1. Arby's Anyone?
Hell, my name is Claire Morgan and I never wanted children.

Review
Claire has never wanted children it wasn't in the plan but sometimes no matter how you plan things have a way of working out. Claire ventures out with her best friend to a college party where she meets a man who just happens to capture her attention. What starts out as a one night stand turns into more than she bargained for. Of course, the guy can't be found and she's forced to go at it alone.

It's at work one night that her one-night stand turns up in the bar but he doesn't recognize her as she does him. Claire hasn't stopped thinking about him and has spent the last several years raising her son. Carter is captivated by the bartender but he's just gotten out of a relationship and he hasn't stopped looking for the girl he had a one night stand with. Little does he know she's standing right in front of him.

This is my first book by the authors so I was super curious to check it out and I wasn't disappointed. Claire is an amazing character I just loved everything about her, and she's constantly had me giggling. You can't help liking Carter right from the start he's a perfect love interest for Claire I mean after all they had a one night stand that bound them together forever they just had to find each other again. I really enjoyed that we are given both sides of the main characters I felt it really helped me connect with both of them.

I found Seduction and Snacks hard to put down it was a fast-paced hilarious. I had to stop reading a few minutes to calm down with all the funny shenanigans that seemed to keep happening to Claire. The romance was sweet it just works so well together. The authors writing style is easy to get lost in and the story just flows beautifully. I enjoyed every page of the book, and look forward to checking out more from the author.

Only she didn't expect to be living next door to a strange, and very attractive, group of men who are far more than human. They offer her protection in exchange for keeping their reason for hiding with the humans a secret, and helping them.
But protection comes at a cost and the cost is something none of them could have expected.

A cost that’s been destined. A cost that fate has weaved for Adelaide. A cost that even princes cannot escape.

Opening line
"Run Faster," the breathless voice of my mate's best friend shouts to me as I rush through the cold woods in Scotland where we planned to escape to.

Review
Adelaide's has taken over raising her younger sister after her parents died, having to leave university and go into hiding for their protection. Her only option to due to the lack of funds was to move into the house that her parents had but it's not been used in a long time. After arriving in at the home they instantly catch the attention of the neighbors a group of attractive shifters who say that leaving the house isn't safe.

The whole point of coming to her parent's house was the hope of staying in hiding which has happened after the great reveal of the supernatural community. They say that they will help them blend in but before they can fit in she has caught the attention of a group of hunters. Will Adelaide be able to escape the hunters or will her fate be sealed this time?

This is a spin-off series of Her Guardians series which features characters from that series as well as new characters. I really liked Adelaide right from the start she's a great character easy to connect with you can't help liking her as she's given up everything to protect her sister. I like all the guys in the series but I think Rick the best but that's because I remember him from the prior series.

I've enjoyed the prior books by the other she's one of my favorites I love her writing style they are always captivating and hard to put down. Adelaide's Fate is no exception I found it hard to put down and ended up reading it in one session. I can't wait to start the next book in the series and find out what happens next to Adelaide. I've become such a huge fan of the reverse harem concept and love that it's a paranormal.

Wall Street meets the Sons of Anarchy in Hard Rules, the smoldering, scorching first novel in the explosively sexy new Dirty Money series from New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones.

How bad do you want it?

The only man within the Brandon empire with a moral compass, Shane Brandon is ready to take his family’s business dealings legitimate. His reckless and ruthless brother, Derek wants to keep Brandon Enterprises cemented in lies, deceit, and corruption. But the harder Shane fights to pull the company back into the light, the darker he has to become. Then he meets Emily Stevens, a woman who not only stirs a voracious sexual need in him, but becomes the only thing anchoring him between good and evil.

Emily is consumed by Shane, pushed sexually in ways she never dreamed of, falling deeper into the all-encompassing passion that is this man. She trusts him. He trusts her, but therein lies the danger. Emily has a secret, the very thing that brought her to him in the first place, and that secret could destroy them both.

This is book ONE of FOUR in Shane and Emily's story.

Opening line
"Tequila and tonic number two," I say, setting the drink on top of a Martina's Casa napkin for the dark, good-looking stranger who'd come in asking for my brother.

Review
Emily has a past she's on the run from someone, and she's changed everything about herself creating a cover story that will keep her safe. It's in the coffee shop before her interview that she encounters Shane instantly the pair share a spark. The pair instantly form a quick connecting but Emily is determined to keep it no strings attached but somethings you just can't avoid.

Shane can't deny his attraction for Emily but after an amazing night, she disappears from his life till she turns up at his office working for his father. He's just returned home to make his family business legitimate if only his brother and father were on his side. As Shane finds out just how deep his families dark deals are will he be able to keep Emily safe?

I've had this one on my kindle for a while and I was really excited to make it fit for my current reading challenge. Hard Rules is a dark steamy story full of romance, suspense and a just enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. I had a hard time putting it down once I was drawn into Emily and Shanes world, and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.

This was my first book by the author and I'm hooked, her writing style is smooth easy to get drawn into a captivating story. The characters are easy to connect with you can't help loving Emily and Shane as they struggle to survive. I can't wait to see how the series is going to play out and I need to know that it will all work out.

Once upon a time a dragon dared to fall in love with the Queen of Hearts…

Zelena Hermosa wants only one thing, to be free. But for a morphling like her freedom will never be possible. Bought by a witch as a baby, she’s been raised in a household that knows no kindness or love. She’s a broken, dirty child the day she meets her prickly little dragon boy.

Ragoth Nur, heir to the throne of Drakon has just stolen a golden apple from Zeus’s favored orchard. In order to make sure he doesn’t have to face the wrath of the gods (but especially his mom) he runs off to wonderland to enjoy his treat and there bumps into the human girl who will change the course of his life forever.

There’s so much more to the Queen of Heart’s than the stories. So much more than the vindictive woman who shouts, “Off with her heads.” This is the true story of the woman, the legend, and the myth…

Opening line
I'd stolen two golden apples from Zeus' flavored orchard.

Review

Zelena has grown up raised by a witch who bought her at birth, and life has been rough as she's been treated without love. It's while sneaking out that she encounters Ragoth a young dragon who happened to be in wonderland avoiding his tutors. A chance encounters yields a connection that even time and distance can't destroy. Over the years the pair form a strong bond but as Zelena gets closer to maturity the reality that she has no choice and marries the King of Hearts entering a loveless marriage.

Ragoth learns that the King has died and now is his chance to be with Zelena at last but she's less than thrilled when he sweeps her away from the funeral. With the help of a little love goddess pushing Ragoth returns to win the women he loves and he's determined that this time she will be his. Zelena doesn't want to be the Queen she's been and is ready to change who she is for the better.

I loved Zelena right from the start as a huge Alice in Wonderland fan it was interesting to see why the Queen of Hearts is the way she is. She's spent most of her life lacking real love but now that Ragoth is back he's going to help her turn over a new leaf, no longer shouting off with their head. I like Ragoth he's not perfect but he's perfect for Zelena and they just work so well together even if she doesn't know it.

I've had The Passionate Queen on my kindle for a while but a little nervous as Alice is one of my favorite stories. The author has done an amazing job weaving a beautiful story about The Queen of Hearts and making her someone we can really connect with. I end up having a hard time putting it down and had to know how it would play out. I've enjoyed another installment into The Dark Queens series and can't wait to dive into the next dark Queens story.

Welcome to Darkblood—oops, I mean Darkhen Academy.

There are three rules to survive the elite supernatural school:
1. Do not talk or even look at The Seven, the uber-powerful supes that rule the academy.
2. Never go into the Fae forest on a full moon… or else.
3. And most definitely do not fall for one of the extremely hot and unattainable instructors.

Too bad I’ve never really been a rule follower…

A year ago the supernaturals came out of the closet on primetime TV, and about a minute ago I found out I was one of them—well, a half-blood anyway.

So here I am at Darkhen Academy, the only human and no magical abilities to speak of. The only reason I’m here is because of my father—a man I didn’t even know existed until now. He’s crazy powerful, and they think I could be too. But what could I possibly contribute to an exclusive squad of dragon shifters, fae, witches, and vampires?

I guess we’re about to find out because the merging of the supernatural and human realms isn’t going as smoothly as planned. If word gets out that humans are no longer safe from the supes, our worlds will once again be closed off.

It’s up to us to stop that from happening.

Opening line
A scream tore through the silence, echoing down the halls of the quiet hospital.

Review

Luna has been fascinated by supernatural beings since their existence was revealed just last year when the human girl dated several on that show Hitched. When the star Kimmie-Jayne shows up at her home saying they are sisters, Luna is star struck as she watched the whole show. Kimmie-Jayne wants her to attend Darkhen Academy a school for supernaturals as they share the same supernatural father. Luna agrees to attend but little did she know she would be running into so many of the former Bachelors that had been courting her older sister.

The students of Darkhen Academy are broken into 7 groups. However, they don't have a human group at the school as she is the first. Thankfully Kimmie-Jayne's husband's little sister is attending and she will room with the dragon-shifters. Cinder is just what Luna needs and is quickly adopted by the dragons of the school. If only Luna can avoid drawing attention from The Seven who are the most powerful students in each group. Plus as if that's not hard enough her favorite guy from the show just happens to be her instructor and she's crushing hard. If she can avoid the demons after her she may just make it through the first year.

I loved Luna right from the start she reminds me a lot of how I would be if I was given the chance to attend a supernatural school. I have to admit that if we had a supernatural Bachelorette show I would have been equally hooked watching. I wasn't sure about The Seven but the more we get to know them the more I like them. I see a couple of possible love interests for Luna if she can get over her crush.

I've actually had Darkblood Academy on my wishlist for a while waiting for it to come out. I mean look at the cover the black unipeg is screaming my name. I didn't even read the synopsis just fell in love with the cover. I instantly was drawn into Luna's world and had to see how it was going to play out ended up finishing it in just under a day. Reading every chance I could. My only regret is that I wish I had read Hitched which is Kimmie-Jayne's story and plan to. I really enjoyed the authors writing style the story just flowed and I found myself getting lost in the beautiful story. The characters are easy to connect with they are all unique and just work so well in this captivating story.
