If you are looking for an intense, passionate love so wrong it is right, a story about losing your way but clawing desperately at any chance to find your way back, about hanging on to your last shred of sanity and trusting someone enough to let go of your fears, look no further. No One's Angel's angel is a New Adult (NA) Contemporary Romance about a girl learning to fight back and a boy learning to let go.

Tess used to spend more hours than she'd care to admit playing her favorite computer game, using the nickname Angel. She could pretend her life was different, and she could pretend Arion was just a friend. But a girl needs more to keep her warm at night than pixels, and she traded her virtual heaven for a real-life hell. Now she's on the run from a past she won't talk about, and the only place she has to go is the doorstep of the friend she's never actually met.

When Angel disappeared from their nightly games, it nearly destroyed Arion. He threw himself into work and women, but he can't help knowing the one-night stands will never compare to the angel who haunts his dreams. At first, when she shows up soaking wet and scared-shitless on his doorstep, he thinks his prayers have been answered.

But the more Arion tries to keep Angel close, the more her fear drives her away. If they are ever going to have a chance for a future, they'll first have to deal with the past that hasn't forgotten her any more than she's forgotten it--and Arion will have to learn how to let her go.

Review
I received No One’s Angel in return for an honest review from the author via Netgalley. Tess left town in hopes of hiding from her ex-boyfriend who is a very bad guy. She went to the only place she could think of the home of her lone time gaming friend Axel. Tess is unsure about her choice but she doesn’t know where else to go, she afraid that Nick will find and kill her. Tess is also unsure if Axel will even accept her after all they haven’t talked in over a year and she just disappeared on him. When Axel see’s Tess on his doorstep all the feelings of when she abandoned him come back but he also is determined to not let her go this time.

While they each have issues Tess keeps her past a secret feeling that Axel will reject her when he learns the truth. They spent so much time gaming together they end up keeping their gamer names for each other Tess as Angel and Axel as Arion. Angel feels she needs to get away from him before Nick finds her but she’s in love with Arion too and doesn’t want to leave. She thinks with time she will learn to trust him and deal with her feelings. However As the two get closer Arion learns more about her secrets will they be too much? Will they tear them apart? Will Nick find her?

I like Angel she’s broken but with good reason she’s had to deal with a very abusive ex and having to run from her future. She run to the one man she thinks she can trust. Arion is perfect for her, they each have their own issues but he will risk it all for the one he loves. Refusing to let her go no matter how much she pushes him away. They need each other because together they are happy and whole.

I breezed through No One’s Angel it’s one of those stories you can’t put down. The concept was very familiar to me because the main characters met via an online video game which just so happens is how I met my hubby. The characters are real, easy to connect with and take you for an emotional roller coaster. I found the concept interesting but I have a soft spot for broken people finding love. While I’m not sure I believe in love at first sight but I think that the pair has a real online connect it made sense. I enjoyed the story; there are a few spots that felt a little rushed in the sex aspect that I could have done without. Only because Angel’s got issues I can’t see someone dealing with is so quickly. Overall the book was great, written so that it flows easy and I enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a new adult romance this one is a must read it has it all. I would have stayed up all night reading if not for the busy next day, it was hard to put down. Lot of steamy moments and one amazingly perfect guy to warm your heart. Warning it does have adult content so mature teens as well as adults. I’m curious to see what else the author comes up with.

  1. I can be pretty picky with my NA reads - is there a very high sexual content in this one?

Excellent review, it has me eager to read it.
