Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon

Check it out (Here)

I think this is a perfect time for a read-a-thon with the current Quarantine situation. I know a lot of us are sitting at home and at least 24 hours will be taken up doing something we love. I'm looking forward to it.

Normally I make a TBR list but this time I'm going to just go with what I'm in the mood for. So who knows what's on the list.

Opening Survey!
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? I'm in Northern California just a hop skip from San Francisco. It's supposed to be upper 80's lower 90's so staying in to read is just perfect.

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I didn't make a list so it's all going to be random but I'm excited for my first book a vampire book.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? I got some of my dad's favorite frozen custard last night. Marionberry cheesecake I can't wait to try.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I'm a crafty book nerd who loves to play video games with her bestie. I love to bake, always down to watch a movie but books are my favorite.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? I attempt to do everyone but last round my daughter was super needy so I didn't get to read as much as I would have liked. This year we are taken care of so I should be able to read all day long.

Hour 1
Vampire Trials by Storm Strong....picked it based on the cover just starting it. I'm not a huge coffee drinker anymore but I've got hot coffee, my favorite lip balm, and gum. I'm ready to go dogs are all fed and resting on the sofa's next to me.

Hour 4
The day is flying by. Stopped to grab a cup of tea and toast an Ozery cinnamon apple round. I can't believe how lovely purple my tea is. I love the blueberry peach flavor it's a perfect mix of each and smells amazing. I'm already about halfway done with my first Vampire Trials by Storm Strong should be able to get done in an hour. The distractions have been real this am. The pups are playing outside but it's warm and going to be a hot day.

I plan to post on twitter, update here and on Instagram of course.

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon

Check it out (Here)

The time has come to start reading!!!!
The goal is to read as many as I can and review them in the next week.

I haven't been reading much recently a little bit of a funk. To be honest I lost track of time till I noticed this am I should be reading. I also am a touch under the weather today. I'm hoping to get at least a few things finished. I have a very small pile due to not feeling up to reading. I'm looking forward to my options. I love the Dewey read-a-thons just wish I was little more prepared for this one. I've been doing them for years and always look forward to the day I can say to my family that I'm reading leave me alone and I don't have to cook.

All of my updates will be right here so be sure to check back throughout the day.

Reading/read list
I'm making it as I sit here and think about it. So guess we will just have to wait and see. I'll be sure to post a picture when I have them all picked out.

Mini-Challenges

I'm going to do these a little later when I need a reading break.

So far I've finished:
Nothing yet but just getting started.

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon

Check it out (Here)

The time has come to start reading!!!!
Goal is to read as many as I can and review them in the next week.

This time I didn't make a long TBR as I think that was my issue last time with not reading as much.

Reading/read list
I'm grabbing them on a case by case basis.

1st Book
Challenges
Opening Survey
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? I'm in normally Sunny Northern California but hoping we get a rainy day perfect for reading.
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? I didn't make a stack of books this round as I struggled last round with my pile.
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? I'm kind of obsessed with this crispy chickpeas at the moment.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I'm a little bit of a video game nerd. I play off and on with my husband and a bunch of friends. Currently, I'm playing ARK and Smite off and on with a little Guitar hero tossed into the mix.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? The last few I've always had a stack and about halfway in I find myself not loving my book options. This time I didn't make a stack and will be grabbing reading options based on my mood.

Mini-Challenges
Decided to get a early start and do all the mini challenges in hour 3 before I start my 2nd book.
A bunch of these are Instagram worth so expect to see these shared throughout the read-a-thon.

Book & Snack
Hosted @ The Book Monster
My snack is quickly becoming one of my favorite Fruit Macaroons. Perfectly healthy snack to go with my water. Got to stay hydrated today.
#ratbooksnack
I combined it with my current read a comic which is kind of a short story.

Anthology of Interest
Hosted @ Purple Owl Reviews
This one is tough. I think it would be fun to an anthology of book bloggers finding hapI don't read many anthologies, to be honest. However, I think it would be fun to an anthology of book bloggers finding happy ever afters. I've been on a romance kick lately and who doesn't love book bloggers. I could see a bunch of quick short happy ever afters about book bloggers. They could be super nerdy bookish girls.

Tell Me a Story
Hosted @ Running "N" Reading
I sadly don't read a lot of short stories. I wish I did but I do have this one on my kindle that I'm hoping to get to in the near future. Would a comic book count as a short story? I mean they are short and quick reads. I combined it with Book & Snack since they go so well together.

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon
Check it out (Here)

The time has come to start reading!!!!
Goal is to read as many as I can and review them Sunday.

Reading/read list
This is my potential reading list.
As well as the page in my bullet journal.
This is where I'll update for the read-a-thon.

Challenges
Opening Survey
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today? Northern California
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to? Finishing Beautiful Player
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to? I've got some super dark chocolate that I've never tried before which is shocking because dark is my favorite.
4) Tell us a little something about yourself! I love to drink coffee and I'm super crafty when I'm not reading.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to? This isn't my first time, I think it's my 4th but I'm not sure to be honest. My husband is out of town and I have the kids day planned so that I have as much reading time as possible. In the past real life get's in the way.

Mini-Challenge: #CoverFromMemory
I opted to do Twilight because I was drawing a blank with so many. I can remember this one so clearly.

The Meet Up
Write a short story/paragraph describing a meet-up between your current read’s main character and your last read’s main character. It’s gonna be either chaos or awesomeness, right?

My Entry
I just finished Playing Hooky Emma is a human who's been pulled into the supernatural world by her best friend on her 21st birthday. I'm currently working on Moon Dance which is a private detective Samantha who happens to be a vampire. The way she giggles about a werewolf I can see these two hitting it off right away. They both handle the supernatural well and while Emma is a little stubborn Samantha tends to just go with it more. I see besties if they happened to meet up. I think that they would have meet up in the bar while Emma was looking for Hunter. I can see Samantha just hanging out enjoying a glass of wine while looking for her killer.

Six Word Story
Your challenge is to create a six-word celebration of Dewey's Read-a-Thon
Inspiring Readers to connect through books.

Show us the Weather

Suggestions that you could read in one night.

Mid-Event Survey!
1. What are you reading right now? I'm currently between books. I have a audio to finish but I'm thinking of reading a few mangas.
2. How many books have you read so far? Finished 2 novels and 4 comic books.
3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? Wicked Jackal by CHerie Marks
4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? While I started out with good intentions it's been rough. Between dogs, kids, and real life it keeps getting in the way but I'm trying to get them in.
5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? How it's pulled me out of my reading slump.

This is Khaleesi and Grimm my reading buddies this week.

I think the Attack on Titan would make a fun Rpg game. It's a manga but one of my favorites.
I did 24 situps and over 24 steps. I've already done over 4 miles today but enough to get the blood going.

Finished so far
