Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke And The Brookish. Who doesn't love lists. They make life easy! And fun!! It's always a never ending topic.
This week's topic:
Top ten bookish resolutions
1.Be more social. I'm super shy and need to work on being more active in the blogger community. This is my biggest goal for the new year.
2. Not accept as many reviews. I've allowed myself to be overwhelmed by review books to the point I don't enjoy it anymore. So more books I've picked less review books is my goal this year or review books I request.
3. Catch up on my review pile (Netgalley & Edelweiss) I got over excited when I first started and my list is long and I really need to get on it. I have an addiction to ARC's but can't seem to catch up. It's just turned overwhelming. I've limited my requests to very few if any till I get caught up.
4. I want to complete my goal of 200 books this year and all my challenges since I didn't make it last year. I'm going for 200 again this year just like last year and I have 13 challenges like last year. However I think I picked better challenges that will fit my reading style.
5. I want to read more books out of my comfort zone because I tend to stay close to the stuff I know. I want to branch out and explore new genre's or give ones I didn't enjoy another shot. I don't know if I'll explore the non-fiction genre but I hope to read more fiction stuff.
6. Read more books from my shelves that the hubby complains I keep buying but never get to read. The hubby keeps saying "You don't need books" but I keep telling him he doesn't "need to be a gamer" either but you know how that goes. I hope to read more of the books I physically own so the hubby will stop complaining.
7. I want to work hard on my commenting. I keep getting distracted easily and forget to go back and comment. I want to designate a set time daily to do all my comments. This goes hand in hand with being more social.
8. I want to work on updating my blog. I've been kind of a slacker when it comes to updating. I'm thinking of updating my graphic's just a big overhaul. Sometimes it's nice to be fresh and new.
Non-bookish
9. I want to be more healthy, and get back into shape pre baby. I want to start a workout routine.
10. I want to be more crafty. I used to sketch daily and it's been months. I have all this crafty stuff I want to do but I've never gotten around to it. I want to do a new project each month.

My ONLY reading goal for the year is to read 200 books this year. I've come close in past years, so I'm hoping this will be the year I reach it! Good luck to both of us :)
ReplyDeleteWow, 200 books is a lot, I'm already struggling with 75 :p. I also want to comment on other blogs more! Good luck! =D
ReplyDeleteI so need to check up on all my review pile books. Good luck with all your goals!
