This week's Super Six is...
Books I'm Excited to see turned into Movies in 2014

This one is tough because I've not read very many books that are becoming movies this year yet. I do have many on my TBR list but just haven't gotten around to them. I linked them all to imdb so you can check out the casts. I decided to use the IMDB cover pictures.

1. Vampire Academy - I know it's been through the theaters already but I loved the books and enjoyed the movie. I'm looking forward to adding it to my vast bluray collection.

2. Divergent - I've read the first book in anticipation of the movie. However because my hubby had to go out of town I haven't seen the movie yet. So I'm impatiently looking forward to date night this week as long as the hubby makes it home from his TDY.

3. The Maze Runner - My hubby just finished the book and I plan to read it next so I'll be ready for the movie. It's a long way off but it sounds good.

4. Mockingjay - I've not read the series but I loved the movies both the hubby and I can't wait for the next movie. I do however hate that they made it two parts.

5. The Giver - I read the book when I was a kid, didn't care for the story to be honest but now I think that it's time to read again after seeing the trailer last week for the movie.

6. Gone Girl - I've been wanting to read this book for a while but now that the movie is coming out this fall I plan to read it before I see the movie. It sounds like a creepy story.

As you can see I've read a few of them but I also have a few to read before I see the movies. What movies are you looking forward to?

This week's Super Six is...
Super 6 Covers of 2014 - so far

Picking 6 is like eating one chip. So many amazing covers and it's only January.
A Breath of Frost by Alyxandra Harvey - I really like the cover for this one it keeps catching my eye. I had to buy it because I keep seeing it. Looking forward to checking it out. It sounds amazing.

Biggest Flirts by Jennifer Echols - This one looks like a lot of fun. It sounds like a cute read. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead - I'm not current in this series but I plan to be before this book comes out. I think the cover is beautiful and fits the set well. I can't wait to add it to my collection.

Ruins by Dan Wells - This one I love the cover but I've not read the series but I own fir the first two in hardback. I plan to read the first two before the third one comes out. Seems to be a trend for me.

Fiendish by Brenna Yovanoff - This one looks creepy and sounds equally creepy. I know I wouldn't want to live in that house.

Banishing the Dark by Jenn Bennett - This series has amazing covers. I think this one is the best though. I like the colors. I'm going to have to start it soon.

I know by the end of the year this list will have multiplied by a zillion. What do you have on your list?

Super Six Sunday #5

Super Six Sunday

This week's Super Six is...
Books that made me cry. hard!

I try to avoid the emotional books because they make me cry. However that doesn't always work. I have in the last year read a few that left me in tears. My hubby laughs because it's just like when I cry during tv shows or movies.

At the moment only one book really comes to mind.

Forever and Always by Karla J. Nellenbach (Goodreads) This one was a huge tearjerker. The last half of the book had me in tears. I remember my hubby being home and complaining that I was depressing. It's a brilliant story that gives an inside perspective on a girl with cancer. Check out my (Review) While it pulled at my heartstrings I loved it.

Synopsis

Mia's first reaction is outright disbelief. Obviously, a mistake has been made. Sixteen-year-old girls don't die. But, when the diagnosis is confirmed, she dives headlong into anger. If she has to die, why should it be of cancer? In fact, anything would be preferable to cancer. Better for her to say when, where, and especially how.

Determined to meet death on her own terms, Mia devises scheme after scheme to get the job done. A “fall” down the basement stairs, driving her car off a bridge, and even a dance with a train all end in her survival.

And through it all, Mia keeps her family and friends at arms' length with her destructive and hurtful behavior. With each failed suicide attempt and burned relationship, she slowly realizes that it’s not the dying that she’s afraid of, but the life she’ll be leaving behind. Now, that life is in a shambles. As time begins to slip through her fingers and death is upon her, Mia fights to rebuild the bridges she has destroyed, but can she do it before the clock runs out?

This week's Super Six is...
Books with the Most Original World Building

This is a good one this week.
1. The Hallowed Ones by Laura Bickle (Goodreads) I know zombies but the series has a unique twist that makes it all it's own.

2. The Ward by Jordana Frankel (Goodreads) I think The Ward has a unique spin on the post apocalyptic concept with the flooding.
3. Deadtown by Nancy Holzner (Goodreads) I really love worlds with humans living with supernaturals and I think the world for the series is unique and interesting.
4. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (Goodreads) I've only read the first one but I enjoyed the world of the shadowhunters. Looking forward to reading the rest.
5. The Edge by Ilona Andrews (Goodreads) I'm new to the series but I quickly fell in love with the mixing of the broken, edge and weird.
6. The Immortal Descendants by April White (Goodreads) One of my favorite books the world is filled with time travel very unique.
