Mercy Thompson has been hailed as “a heroine who continues to grow and yet always remains true to herself.”* Now she’s back, and she’ll soon discover that when the fae stalk the human world, it’s the children who suffer...

Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head. And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human child stolen long ago by the fae.

Defying the most powerful werewolf in the country, the humans, and the fae, Mercy, Adam, and their pack choose to protect the boy no matter what the cost. But who will protect them from a boy who is fire touched?

Review
I received Fire Touch in return for an honest review from the publisher via NetGalley. When Mercy’s help is requested because she can’t just ignore the call after all a Troll is on the bridge causing havoc. Thankfully Mercy has a whole pack of powerful werewolves including her husband the Alpha. However thanks to Mercy they have some new members in the pack that aren’t wolves like Joel the Tibicena a large fire dog. Charging into battle against the troll it’s only when Zee and Tad show up that they are able to dispatch him. They have escape the reservation and brought with them the Fire Touched.

Knowing it could start an all-out among the fae and the werewolves she offers him guesting status and declares the tri cities as pack territory. Aiden is a child of underwood once human he now has the fire magic which is why the fae are determined to risk anything to get him back. It doesn’t take long for Mercy and Adam to decide that Aiden needs them more and decide to protect him as long as he wants it. Igniting a war between the fae and werewolves, that will change the future of the supernatural community. Will they survive to see Pirate night?

I honestly adore Mercy she’s hands down my favorite kick ass character while she’s not a werewolf she is a coyote and holds her own among the pack. What can I say about Adam other than he’s perfect for her. Throughout the series we’ve gotten to know many of her supernatural friends as well as other’s she’s just encountered in the past. Mercy is the kind of character that draws supernatural beings to her be it fae vampires or ghosts. I wasn’t sure about what Bran did but it all works out in the end better than I expected.

Fire Touched is amazing!!!! I admit I am a huge fan of the Mercy Thompson series so she has some really big shoes to fill. I also have always enjoyed the books more that have the fae element, it’s so interesting to see what’s going to stop off the reservation next. Fire Touched is action packed right from the start till the very last page it was very hard to put down because I had to know how it was going to end. I loved that we had a chance to see more of Zee since he’s been an important part of her life with the shop. Fire Touched is beautifully written it captures the heart as well as the imagination. I enjoyed all the twist and turns that kept me guess till the very end. While I’ve loved them all this may just be my favorite book in the series so far. I love the chemistry between Mercy and Adam he supports her and understands her better than anyone they just work so well together. I honestly loved it such an amazing series. Highly recommend!!!!
