Review

Goldie has been following in her father’s footsteps trying to protect the magical animals that are being hunted by poachers. While hunting for a herd of miniature mastodons she arrives at the scene of a brutal attack only to find that one of the females was with a baby. Thanks to her quick thinking she bundles up the little elephant grabs her zombie chicken and portals home. Now she just needs to figure out a way to legally keep her new little foster and protect her from the poachers.

I like Goldie a lot after all she has a zombie chicken as a pet what’s not to love. I love that she’s all about saving the supernatural animals, risking her life to be like her dad. While we are just given just a teaser into who Goldie is she’s already captured my heart and I’m curious to learn more about these Baehr brothers.

I’ve had this one on my kindle forever but never seemed to get around to it. I’m sorry that I waited so long because Baehrly Beginning is an adorable story that captures the heart as well as the imagination. This is the second book by the author that I’ve read and already I’m a quick fan of her story telling it’s beautifully done. Baehrly Beginning is a perfect start to an exciting new series that I can’t wait to check out what’s going to happen with Goldie and her three Baehr’s. The cover is cute a perfect complement to the cute story inside. Highly recommend.
