Top Ten Tuesdays!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke And The Brookish. Who doesn't love lists. They make life easy! And fun!! It's always a never ending topic.

This week's topic is:
Top books that intimidate Mandy

Intimidating for me are books I've been wanting to read but afraid I won't like.

1 - 3. Pride and PrejudiceSense and Sensibility, & Persuasion  by Jane Austen
4. Divergent by Veronica Roth - (Goodreads)

5. Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (Goodreads)

6. Fallen by Lauren Kate (Goodreads

7.Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris (Goodreads) I love the TV series but never got around to it, and now that the series has ended I'm nervous.

8. A Game of Thrones by R.R. Martin (Goodreads) Everyone has been telling me to watch the show and read the book but I've been on the fence forever.

9. Edie Spence Series by Cassie Alexander (Goodreads) I've had this series on my TBR list for so long. It sounds amazing and I love the concept but I'm nervous I won't love it. Plus I love the covers!

10. Obsidian (Lux) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Goodreads) - I've heard so much hype I'm afraid they won't live up to my expectation.

What is your top ten books that intimidate you?

  4. If you're scared of Jane Austen, I highly, highly recommend 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.' It's hilarious, and you get the basic plot of the original with only some of Jane Austen's original dialogue. I also really enjoyed 'Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters.'

    I just started reading 'Divergent.'

I LOVED the Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire Mysteries series. There were about three or four of them out when I started the series. The books and the TV show are two completely different animals, like with The Vampire Diaries.
