Top ten best/worst book to movie adaptations.
Well this one is really hard. I haven't read a lot of books that became movies. Plus I keep a open mind so it's really hard for me to dislike a adaptation. This is the best I could do.
Best
The Black Stallion / The Black Stallion Returns by Walter Farley - I read both books several times as a child, my favorite movies as a child. I think they did a fantastic job portraying the books. I always wished they would do more of the series but I can see it not appealing to more people.
The Help by Kathryn Stockett (Goodreads) I think they did a really good job with the movie. I happens to air on showtime a lot and my hubby will click it on because he knows I get sucked right in and forget what I'm doing.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis (Goodreads) I was so excited to learn this would become a movie. I enjoyed the movie it exceeded my expectations. I'm going to put this one on when I'm done.
Beezus and Ramona by Beverly Cleary (Goodreads) Another series I read as a child. Loved the books though the movie isn't really spot on I think it portrays the story well. I know my kids enjoyed the movie, I hope when my 3 year old is older she will want to read the books.
Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyers (Goodreads) I loved the books. I read Twilight when it first came out before it was big so I've been a fan for ages. Granted I dislike the actress who doesn't have any other face but the poop face who plays Bella Swan I loved the movies own them all.
One For the Money by Stephanie Plum (Goodreads)- Love the series and I even enjoyed the movie. It was fun the story was a little on the lacking but it was enough that I had to buy a copy and I've seen it several times.
Worst
Jurassic Park & Lost World by Michael Crichton - While I loved the movies I feel the books are 100 times better. I wanted to see the carnivores in the compound that didn't like the light that the raptors avoided in the lost world but they didn't have them. I still enjoy watching the movies but when it comes down to it the books win.
What about you?

Actually that can't be entirely true. I love Vampire Academy, Bloodlines, and Anita Blake! So I guess we have opposite taste in movies. :-)
