Review

I received Fatal Beauty in return for an honest review from the tour company Inkslinger PR. Charlies future looked bright everything was working out as planned except for one tiny detail she killed her fiancé. It’s not like he didn’t deserve it he was cheating and beat her but still it happened so what does she do call the one person who will understand in her time of need. E.J. who rushes to her house only to find Charlie covered in blood. Thinking quickly she makes a call to Anthony Jacobs for help knowing with his connections he can make it all go away so Charlie isn’t to blame. The only condition is they have to do what he says which includes claiming that Tre just left Charlie as well as hiding out in his southern mansion.

It should have been a easy mess to clean up when you have connections but after a week together Jacobs has decided it’s time for the girls to return to lives they had before he met them. The only thing is that E.J. and Jacobs have a long past an intensive history over years that she’s not willing to just walk away from so easily. When he heads out the girls steal his hidden money, guns, and head off in his prized classic nova determined not to be forced back into the lives they once knew. When the girls left they had no idea what was hidden in the Nova something so dangerous that Jacobs is willing to kill to get it back. Will the girls be able to stay just one step ahead of Jacobs or will he catch them?

I like Charlie and E.J. clearly they have big issues but together they can support each other in ways that no one else has in the past. They are also learning to deal with their issues and might just make it out alive if they can just stay ahead of the man hunting them. They may not have traditional love in their lives but they have a best friend which is exactly that they needed and it’s made them stronger.

Clearly I was captivated by the cover it’s stunning I just had to sign up for the tour, since I’m in love with the cover. I admit other than a quick glance at the synopsis I really had no idea what this one was about other than two debutante’s stuck in a life neither one of them wanted. Fatal Beauty isn’t my typical read it has a lot of steamy moments between the girls and lots of other characters as well as drug usage which isn’t common in my book choices. Does it overwhelm the story? Not too bad it actually works to help portray how the girls lives had been up to the point of murder. Basically we have a murder and the girls on the run which reminds me a lot of the movie Thelma and Louise. Fatal Beauty is a fast paced hard to put down novel I know I struggled to take a break because I had to know how it would play out. It has its wow moments that made me blush just a little but that’s ok I liked it. Honestly the book is very well written it’s a gritty story that captured my imagination. I can’t wait to check out other books by the author after this one.
