A rider and her dragon. An island they are trapped on. Another rider who offers a way out.

Asta and her dragon, Iona, are simple explorers who want to search the world and find new lands. While exploring they become trapped on an island they thought was abandoned and their adventures come to an abrupt halt.

When a mysterious rider offers her a way out, Asta has doubts in trusting him. Will he be her savior or the reason she is stuck on the island forever?

If you enjoyed the hit movies How to Train Your Dragon and Dragonheart, this book is for you!

I received Adventures of the Amethyst Dragon in return for an honest review from the author.

Asta is a dragon speaker who is bonded to Iona a amethyst dragon. Together they exploring the islands updating the topographic map that she's been working on. What should be a routine trip turns quickly into something else when they are netting out of the sky. Now they've stuck on a strange island with a village and another dragon rider with no idea what's in store.

I like Asta she and Iona have a unique bond not your typical dragon and rider connection. I love the idea of an amethyst dragon as purple is one of my favorite colors. I found Asta easy to connect with and intelligent as she's created her own supplies she has an artistic side which I really liked. I like Iona she has a great personality I love that she's stubborn and laughs like a human or at least attempts.

I knew the moment I saw the cover for this one I had to reach out and jumped at the opportunity to review. I devoured the story within just a afternoon it was hard to put down because I wanted to know more about Asta and Iona's adventure. This was a fast paced whirlwind adventure that kept me on the end of my seat till the very end.

This is my first book by the author she did a lovely job creating a captivating story that kept my attention till the very last page and left me wanting more. I found the world that Asta lives in with the other colors of dragons interesting it's a unique idea which I really enjoyed. My only complaint was I wanted more story I wasn't ready to see it end just yet I like my stories chunky. I look forward to reading more about the adventures of this duo as well as checking out more of the authors books. Highly recommend if you are a fan of dragon rider books.
