Review

I received The Rebound in return for an honest review from the author.

First off can we admit how stunning the cover is!!! I'm just in love with the color pallet as pink flowers are my favorite.

Solene just wants to get away from the life she was born into so late one night she ventures out onto the beach little did she know it would change her life forever. That fateful night ties her and Declan together forever. When Declan offers Solene a once in a lifetime chance to achieve her dream of being a singer. Plus she get's to spend her time with Declan who she's spent the last four years thinking about. However, nothing goes as planned and things spiral out of control.

I like Solene a lot she's such a sweetheart even after everything she's had to endure she still looks at the bright side. I'm so torn on Declan I wanted to love him but I feel like I spent most of the book wanting to slam the book into his face so he would smarten up and see what he was missing. Which I think is his appeal he's goal driven passionate and stupidly thinks he's doing the right thing. I love the chemistry between the two it's just been steamy right from the start.

This one was very rough for me I went into it not knowing about the BDSM aspect which I feel is a key part of the story. The situation was very similar to Fifty Shades of Grey with Solene being a virgin. I'm fine with the whole BDSM but it just feels wrong when an experienced guy introduces a innocent girl with no sexual experience to it. Now that being said and I know why it's such a intricate part of the story it works as both characters grow together. He actually tried to hide that part of his life so while I wanted to beat Declan with my book I kind of loved him too. I feel like we had a love hate relationship.

This was the first book I've read by the author and I found her story telling captivating right from the start I wanted to know what would happen to our couple. I loved the characters even if Declan is stab worthy sometimes. I found the story hard to put down it was easy to get lost in their story, and I'm sad to see it end. I love all the bookish references in the story, from buying Solene a bookstore, to picking out books for her. I loved that she was a bookworm like me who loves her steamy stories. I look forward to the next story of Penny & Knight.
