Foodie Friday #5

Foodie Friday #5

I've been wanting to do this for a while but have been putting it off. Aside from books I love cooking it's a great outlet for me. Instagram has been a fun outlet to share my book pictures but I've been adding more and more food pictures. I thought I could use my blog to share a new recipe each week which will also cause me to try new things. So we will give it a go and see how it goes. I hope it's as interesting to me as it is to you. I follow a lot of food bloggers so I have whole list of fun ones I want to try.

Jalapeno Cheese Bread
This week i used an artisan bread that I had baked prior.
The recipe I used for baking the bread was from The Comfort of Cooking. It's my go to bread recipe super easy less than 5 minutes to make. The bread comes out with a nice chewy crust and soft inside. Perfect for just about anything.

Find it (here)

First
I used my knife cutting in a cube pattern but not cutting all the way through. The nice thing about the crust bread it was easy to cut and didn't break apart.

Next
I stuffed it with chopped jalapeno peppers the kind in the jar.
Drizzled garlic butter through the layers.
Thank stuffed the layers with sharp cheddar.

Last
Baked it at 350 for 30 minutes.
I baked it on a cookie sheet with parchment paper so it would be easy to clean up.

Overall thoughts
It turned out great. So much potential for stuffing it. I can't wait to try again with different toppings.
It was easy to eat and tasted great. A hit with my family.

I am always looking for new recipes to try so if you have a suggestion I'd love to check it out.
