Synopsis

Beware of a kiss under the full moon. It will change your life forever.

Celeste Parker is used to hearing scary stories about werewolves—Legend's Run is famous for them. She's used to everything in the small town until Brandon Maddox moves to Legend's Run and Celeste finds herself immediately drawn to the handsome new student. But when, after an unnerving visit with a psychic, she encounters a pack of wolves and gorgeous, enigmatic Brandon, she must discover whether his transformation is more than legend or just a trick of the shadows in the moonlight.

Her best friends may never forgive her if she gives up her perfect boyfriend, Nash, for Brandon, who's from the wrong side of town. But she can't deny her attraction or the strong pull he has on her. Brandon may be Celeste's hero, or he may be the most dangerous creature she could encounter in the woods of Legend's Run.

Psychic predictions, generations-old secrets, a town divided, and the possibility of falling in love with a hot and heroic werewolf are the perfect formula for what happens . . . once in a full moon.

Review

Celeste’s life should be perfect she’s dating the guy she’s had a crush on since forever, plus he’s the start athlete every girl wants. He just cares about himself more than what she wants. When a new guy shows up at school he’s different, a loner who doesn’t fit in but Celeste is drawn to him. Celeste can’t see being with the perfect guy anymore as she learns more about Brandon but how do you tell your friends who would be crushed.

When Celeste and her friends get a reading from a psychic she is told to beware of kiss under the full moon. Later that night she finds herself in the woods during a blizzard surrounded by wild wolves. Brandon the new guy comes to her rescue scaring off the wolves with only a bite on his hand. As if Brandon doesn’t already have enough to worry about being an outsider after being kissed by Celeste under the full moon he now turns into a werewolf. Things only get worse when he can’t remember what happens at night, dogs start missing and werewolf sightings are all over town. Will they find a cure for Brandon before it’s too late?

I like Celeste but her desire to keep her friends drives me nuts. I get that choosing the wrong guy may be right for her but it made me sad she could lose her friends. I like Brandon he’s a good guy even if he does turn furry under the full moon. I think he’s exactly what she needs because the self-absorbed boyfriend isn’t going to pay attention to her.

Once in a Full Moon is a fast captivating werewolf romance that sparks the imagination. I love werewolf stories so it had some big shoes to fill, and I think the author did a great job adding her own unique twists to the story. The characters are unique and easy to connect with I couldn’t help liking Celeste and Brandon. The story is fast paced it’s easy to be drawn into Celeste’s world, I found myself having a hard time putting it down. I think the author did a great job with the first book but she left us a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next one to see what will happen to our couple. I like that the story has clean romance which I found refreshing for a young adult the romance was sweet. Overall I enjoyed the story and look forward to seeing where the series goes.
