My Dusty Bookshelf

My Dusty Bookshelf
I've got an addiction for adding books to my bookshelf but never getting around to them. I'm sure I'm not the only one either. It's just so easy with all the new books to forget about the older ones. I'd like to start reading some of the books I've had for years and just haven't read. I thought this would be a good way to share and rekindle some interest in my dusty books. Plus I love giving books a little extra spotlight when I can.

I feel like my TBR pile is never ending recently. I've had a copy of this one on my shelf for longer than I can remember. I honestly don't remember when I purchased a copy. I do hope to one day read it but so far it hasn't happened yet. I've read a few other books by Barbara Michaels and really enjoyed them.

Ammie, Come Home
by Barbara Michaels
(Goodreads)

Synopsis

It begins as a lark -- a harmless diversion initiated by Washington, D.C., hostess Ruth Bennett as a means of entertaining her visiting niece, Sara. But the seance conducted in Ruth's elegant Georgetown home calls something back; something unwelcome ... and palpably evil. Suddenly Sara is speaking in a voice not her own, transformed into a miserable, whimpering creature so unlike her normal, sensible self. No tricks or talismans will dispel the malevolence that now plagues the inhabitants of this haunted place -- until a dark history of treachery, lust, and violence is exposed. But the cost might well be the sanity and the lives of the living.

What's on your dusty bookshelf? Do you have books that have been there for years? I do. I can't wait to see what you have to share this week. Be sure to leave a comment with a link so I can check yours out. Happy Reading!!!

  1. I really like this topic! You've always got so many great books on your shelves! I really need to check what I've had for a long time, but still need to read. I know there are many...

    1. It's good to know I'm not the only one. Sometimes just going through my bookshelves allows me to see what I forgot I had and need to read. My TBR seems to never be ending at the rate I keep adding faster than I can read.
