Review
I received The Secret Keeper in return for an honest review from the author. It starts the night of the senior prom Winter and her best friend Ally are planning on having an amazing night with their dates. However not long after arriving at the prom Ally get’s into a fight with her on again off again boyfriend Hayden calling it quits when he decides he doesn’t want to attend to same college. Forcing Winter to take Ally home missing the prom with her date Liam. After going to all the trouble feeling like he was blown off Liam sends her a text he later regrets. After arriving home from the prom early after taking care of her best friend her parents talk her into stopping by one of the parties. At the party Winter has a run in with Hayde who’s sorry for ruining her prom and after a sincere apology she forgives him but in her drunken state she ends up kissing Hayden.

The following morning Winter wakes up to find she’s in a shack away from the party with her parents pounding on the door. As if being grounded isn’t bad enough it’s the fact that Hayden is determined to have Winter tell Ally and Liam the truth which will ruin her relationship with them both but leave her open for himself to swoop in. Dreading what will happen when her best friend and boyfriend learn the truth she takes a run to clear her head but encounters a girl who happens to have had her own secret. She solved her problem by visiting the Secret Keeper who fixed her problem. Without any other choices Winter visits the Secret Keeper agreeing to the conditions and having reality changed so that her secret never happened. Only suddenly everything that can does go wrong. Will she be able to fix it before it’s too late? What’s the real story behind the secret keeper? Will Liam find out her secret and if so how will he react?

I like Winter she’s a great character she cared enough for her best friend and new boyfriend that she was willing to change reality to spare them the pain. It’s refreshing to see a character who cares about others over her own feelings. I liked Ally we didn’t see a whole lot of her but I like how things worked out for her. I loved the Liam stuck by Winter with everything that was happening, even if everyone else though she was dealing with emotional stuff.

I’ve been looking forward to reading The Secret Keeper the idea that you can tell a secret to the secret keeper and she will create an alternate reality so it never happened is interesting. I found the story to be a captivating suspense filled romance that kept me on the edge of my seat and was hard to put down. I really enjoyed the characters they are easy to connect with I couldn’t help getting invested in Winter’s and Liam’s story since we have both points of view which I like. This isn’t my first book by the author so I have an expectation for her story telling and The Seeker Keeper doesn’t disappoint it’s a beautifully written intricate story. I actually finished the book in just a few short hours and can’t wait to read the next on to see what will happen with Winter and Liam after the teaser at the end of the book. I highly recommend that if you like paranormal romance you check it out.
