Synopsis
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Review
Tate has just arrived in San Francisco at her brother
apartment where she will live till she gets situated and finds her own place. Arriving at his apartment Tate is surprised the
old man at the elevator knows her name as well as a married man in the elevator
going up appears to know who she is as well. When she arrives at her brother’s
apartment a man is passed out leaning against the door and the only way she can
get the door open is to push him out of the way. It’s after her brother tells
her she needs to bring the stranger in that he’s one of his friends and the
neighbor across the hall that Tate is less than thrilled but she does. In the
morning he’s no longer drunk but sober, doesn’t remember what happened the
night before other than she was there.
Their friendship started out rocky but after spending
Thanksgiving with her family it’s clear that they are both attracted to each
other. What started out as just two consenting adults getting together no
strings attached because Miles doesn’t do love. He’s spent the last six years building
up walls but within just a short time Tate is breaking them down no matter how
hard he tries to keep them up. Miles can’t let go of his past it’s keeping him
from moving forward with his life. Tate hopes that eventually Miles will be
interested in more than just friendship but it’s getting harder to keep her
feelings in check. What happens when Miles no longer wants to see Tate? Will
she ever find out what’s happened in his past? Can she make him love again?
I love Tate doesn’t just give up on Miles even though he’s
saying that he doesn’t want a relationship she sticks it out hoping to win his
heart. I like Miles and Tate together they are perfect even if Miles chooses
not to see it he is after all broken with an emotional tragic past. I love the
chemistry between the two of them as much as the sweet little moments like the
table. The more we learned Miles story the more my heart went out to him it
makes sense why he would have love issues after everything that happened.
Thankfully Tate moved in when she did or he may have continued to stay
loveless.
I’m such a Colleen Hoover fan she’s one of my favorite
authors and I just love her writing style as much as her stories. I’ve had this
one on my shelf since the movie came out but I haven’t been able to talk my
book club into reading it yet. However this month at last they agreed to give it
a shot I think I loaned my copy out five times to a few of the girls who live
on base. I’ve heard nothing but good things so when at last it was my turn to
read I couldn’t put it down actually finished it in one long morning. I loved
every moment of the book in true fashion of Collen Hoover I was waiting for the
tragic moment and this one was a doozy. I love that the characters are easy to
connect with I felt like I was a fly on the wall in Tate and Miles lives
cheering them on even if Miles was pushing back. I loved every moment of Ugly
love it may very well be my favorite Colleen Hoover book which is tough because
up to this point Confess was my favorite. I honestly loved it even the tragic
moments because you can’t have the beautiful without the ugly and to have a HEA I need those moments. I highly recommend Ugly love!!!!! So amazing!!!!
