Throwback Thursday August 9nd 2012

Throwback Thursday August 9nd 2012

Throwback Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by The Housework Can Wait and Never to fond of Books.

It's the nature of book blogging to focus mainly on new releases, but there are thousands of great books out there that haven't seen the "New Releases" shelf in years. We hope to be able to bring attention to some older titles that may or not be at the top of the current bestseller list, but still deserve a spot in your To-Be-Read pile.

You don't have to be a book blogger to participate! You can put up a Throwback Thursday post on your non-bookish blog; or if you don't have a blog at all you can use the comments to tell us about a book your remember fondly.

I'm reading a vampire book today and couldn't help thinking of the sparkly vampires as I plan my Throwback for today. Plus who doesn't love a little sparkly vampire love.

Twilight
by Stephenie Meyer
Book 1 in the Twilight Series
Published October 5th 2005

Isabella Swan’s move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella’s life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife-between desire and danger.

Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

Review

I was given this book by a buddy of mine when it first came out neither of us had any idea with would turn into sparkle mania when we read it. I was a instant fan and over the next few years purchased each book the day it came out in hardback as well as saw each movie opening night. I love the twilight series however I totally love the werewolves over the sparkly vampires. I didn't write a review since I didn't know about reviewing back then but before the final movie comes out I'll be sure to reread and post a updated review to a great series about love, vampires and werewolves.

What's your Throwback today?
