Review

I received this book in return for a honest review from the author. The book is mainly about Nixie Veidt and her life after her father dies. As her father dies on his deathbed Nixie is directed to Conrad a business connection who will help her get the money in a safe spot before her mother can take it all and be her guardian. However it's never that simple and Nixie faces the threat of being arrested but Morten the cop provides a option of marriage that will keep the cops at bay as well as her mother from trying to claim guardianship.

She has to wait till her 19th birthday before she can end the marriage and be with Kolya the Russian dancer she is in love with. Nixie and Kolya spend all her money trying to make a ballet company take off expecting it to be easy it turns into a hardship that will test their relationships as well as the relationships of those around them. Since Nixie is married to Morten, her dancer Kolya takes on a lover of his own Lea who he falls for leaving Nixie feeling very alone.

I loved Nixie as a character she won me over even though I would have gone crazy if I was here. She's such a strongly written character. In the book she has to make a few hard choices that change her life forever. She's goes through a lot during the progression of the book, and I watched her character go from a shallow debutante to owner of a ballet company.

I found the story entertaining, it drew me in right from the start and I had a hard time putting it down this afternoon.  I tend to avoid love triangles because I always feel bad for the one that doesn't get picked however the author Kea put's a unique twist on the love triangle and didn't mind it at all. I found myself rooting for the cop Morten because he is so in love with Nixie and puts up with so much just because he wants to make her happy. It's just a really sweet love story and I really enjoyed it.
