Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke And The Brookish. Who doesn't love lists. They make life easy! And fun!! It's always a never ending topic.

This week's topic:
Top ten books you were forced to read
(I don't have 10 so I added a few options)
or in my case are guilt tripped into reading but haven't yet....I'm a slacker
& books I've been forcing on others

Forced to reads

1. The Handmaids Tale by Margaret Atwood (Goodreads) It was ok but not my favorite. I was forced t read it back in high school.

2. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald (Goodreads) We read this one in Junior high I was thrilled but I really enjoyed the book.

Guilt tripped into reading but haven't gotten to yet.
3. Game of Thrones series by George R.R. Martin (Goodreads) I've got a friend who's a huge fan, and keeps telling me I should read the books and watch the show. One day I started book one read a few pages. I hope to read the book in November

4. Harry Potter Series by (Goodreads) My hubby loved them so he expects me to but I've not had the desire yet. Maybe I start reading them to our daughter when she takes a nap.

5. Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card (Goodreads) With the movie coming out my hubby said I should read it but I've not now I'm getting the guilt trip daily about it till the movie comes out. I need to cram it in this month or I'll never hear the end of it.

Forced on other people
When I force books on people these are my top three.
6. Marking Time by April White (Goodreads) I received this one for review this year and love it. My favorite of this year.
7. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire (Goodreads) My favorite book of last year. I received a review ecopy and than purchased a physical copy.
8. Guilty Pleasures by Laurel K Hamilton (Goodreads) even though I have a love hate for the newer books I love her older books.

What are your top ten?

  1. Yep, I've definitely forced people to consider reading the GOT (even if they don't end up reading it) And HP is always a book I mentioned to people if they haven't read it already :)

I've been wanting to read the Handmaid's Tale and Beautiful Disaster, so hopefully I'll like them and get to them soon! Great list :)
