Diary Update
October 12th 2013
It's been a busy week. Lots of real life stuff not a whole lot of reading. However this week I have at least 5 I need to read so it's time to kick it in gear.
Grimm had a sleepover last night. We puppy-sat for my friends bulldog puppy Sadie. She stole my spot when I got up for to make coffee. Go figure 3 months apart and Grimm outweighs her by over 60 pounds. Aside from all the roughhousing and one spot where she chewed the carpet it's not been bad.
The hubby and I are watching the new Once upon a Wonderland. Alice is one of my favorites. Might have to start it again. Between the Tim Burton movie and this one I'm craving a little alice.
Currently reading
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman (Goodreads)
I'm only 42% but so far I'm in love. It's a awesome story. I plan to finish this morning or afternoon.
Spotlight
Halloween is just around the corner so in honor I'm going to spotlight Vampires today.
So many different kinds of vampire books out there. I'm on the fence when it comes to them. It could be that I've been overwhelmed with reading them. I'm a sucker for a good vampire hunter book. Yet I do enjoy my vampire romance even the sparkly ones.
Some of my favorite vampire books
(Keep in mind I'm not current in any of these series)
Reign of Blood by Alexia Purdy (Goodreads)
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (Goodreads)
A Quick Bite by Lynsay Sands (Goodreads)
Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (Goodreads)
Vampire series I want to read
Vampire Vacation by C.J. Ellisson (Goodreads)
ReVamped by Ada Adams (Goodreads)
Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost (Goodreads)
Darkness Falls by Jessica Sorensen (Goodreads)
Do you have a favorite vampire series?
New to me books/authors
(Some of the new stuff I found the last few days)
Immortal Embrace by Charlotte Blackwell (Goodreads)
Airborne by Constance Sharper (Goodreads)
Beloved by Patty Sarro (Goodreads)
Preordained by Kelly Libsack (Goodreads)
Well off to read. Have a great weekend.
