My Own Mr. Darcy
by Karen White
(Goodreads)

Synopsis

After being dragged to the 2005 movie Pride and Prejudice by her mother, sixteen-year-old Elizabeth’s life changes when Matthew Macfadyen’s Mr. Darcy appears on the screen. Lizzie falls hard and makes a promise to herself that she will settle for nothing less than her own Mr. Darcy. This ill-advised pledge threatens to ruin any chance of finding true love. During the six intervening years, she has refused to give any interested suitors a chance. They weren’t Mr. Darcy enough. Coerced by her roommate, Elizabeth agrees to give the next interested guy ten dates before she dumps him. That guy is Chad, a kind and thoughtful science teacher and swim coach. While she’s dating Chad, her dream comes true in the form of a wealthy bookstore owner named Matt Dawson, who looks and acts like her Mr. Darcy. Of course she has to follow her dream. But as Elizabeth simultaneously dates a regular guy and the dazzling Mr. Dawson, she’s forced to re-evaluate what it was she loved about Mr. Darcy in the first place.

Newest wishlist addition

Outside by Micalea Smeltzer (Goodreads)

Synopsis

Everything is about to change for Sophie Beaumont. Sophie has moved her entire life; never staying in one place too long. She didn’t understand why… until now. Sophie is a shifter. A wolf shifter and she has a lot to learn. About being herself, being a wolf, and being what she needs to be to protect her pack. On top of that, her intense feelings for the pack’s Alpha, Caeden, threatens to ruin everything. Especially if the rival pack, the Grimm’s, find out that Sophie is not the human she claims to be.

The cover and synopsis sound awesome.

Around the blogosphere
This week is Banned Books week so many interesting things going on around the blog community this week. I happened to check out the list of books that are banned in school it was shocking. I know many of them on the list are books I read in school. Most of them are classic's I think are important and I want my kids to read so they will be on their summer reading list.
Giveaway Hop (Here)

Random non-bookish stuff.
Not much going on in the real world. Starting to get back into a routine now that the puppy was cleared for the dog park today. He's tuckered out on the floor by my feet. I'm debating making bread after I get done blogging.

Reading Progress
So far 13 books. I hope to get at least 5 more done before the end of the month. Not the 25 I planned on but I'll take 18.
I also signed up for a new challenge on goodreads that should push me to read more. Here's hoping.
