Book Blogger Hop

Hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer (here)

I've been in a bit of a little reading slump the last few months but just finding my groove again. In the past I could easily read over 30 books in a month but recently I've been lucky if I'm even finishing just 1 book. Shocking I know because I'm shocked that this booknerd hasn't been reading much.

So I'm failing a little on the 2022 New Year new reading goal. Thankfully January is always just a trial run open to adjustment and the real start of the year is February. I always feel like things this year have started off crazy but hopefully by the end of the month some of them will smooth out.

My goal for 2022 is 200 books and currently I'm at 1 so far. I do have a book on my kindle that I started but don't love and it's kinda turning me off from reading. I need to start reading the pile of manga from the library before I need to return them.

How about you? What's your average number of books? Read anything you would recommend this year?

  1. I estimated about 8 but then it also depends on other factors. I've been amending it in my comments that 6-8 is more likely the better number. Right now I'm reading book 5 and hoping to read/complete at least 1 more book before the month ends. But I know in the past this author's books take me a little longer to read.

  2. I am a speed reader and a huge book consumer, but I agree that sometimes you just get into a slump... hopefully you can find something that speaks to your soul soon!

  3. I am a slow reader. I could never imagine reading that many books in a year. I hope you get back to reading soon and have a great week!
