The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy Sunday Funday!
It's been a whirlwind week with the holiday upon us. I still haven't put up my tree but that will happen tomorrow. Today my baby girl turns 8 and it's all about her today.
Last night was my husbands squadron christmas party 2 hours of a Jazz band and 2 hours of a DJ. Good company we all had a nice time, and it was a nice chance to dress up and have a kid free night.
The weather has been chilly but still in up 60's low 70's so I'm not complaining. I love being able to head outside with just a sweater. The joys of being in Northern California we don't have to worry about snow in the bay area. I know lots of places that don't get snow are getting snow this week and I hope we don't get added to the snow list.
Couple more busy weeks and than we will have the new year with all new goals and plans. I'm looking forward to a whole new year of bookish goals, blogging goals, crafty projects and more.
I've been on a blog revamp for half of the year and hope the next few weeks will give me the time I need to be ready for the new things I have planned. Some will be right away others will be spread more over the year. I think after 6 years it's time to expand and update. Anyone else feel like it's time to give their blog a facelift?

Read this past week
Not much reading this week.

Posts you may have missed at TRD since my last update.
New Books
Just a few trying to be good right before the holiday.

eBooks

Crafty projects & Baking/cooking & Gardening.
I made a batch of chocolate chip dipping cookies but forgot to take pictures. I also found an amazing bread roll recipe I'm going to share on my next foodie picture. I'm a little curious to see if I can turn it into quick cinnimon rolls this week. If they work than I'll be sure to share as well. I have sugar cookies on the list as well as spritz and maybe one or two others. I need to make a few cookie trays for my husband to take to work. I also have a cheesecake on the list for one of our good friends.
I've had to replace my crochet hook twice this last couple of weeks. My huskymute decided that I was gone to long and ate the handle and after picking up a new one my teenager misplaced it. So now I have a backup and back to stitching. Hope to whip up a few scarves over the next week.

Quote/ fun stuff
I know I've got lots of cooking over the next few weeks. Who's with me?

Watching

I just watched Stargate which has been to long as it's one of my long time faves. They are so long and have come a long way since Stargate. I needed a break from my Christmas movie addiction as my husband would say. I've been debating which new Netflix show to start as they have so many good ones. I may have a little bit of a tv/movie additction but it's great background noise and I like noise. It's to quiet and I get lost in my own thoughts.
