Yuki Cross has no memory of her past prior to the moment she was saved from a vampire attack ten years ago. She was adopted by the headmaster of Cross Academy, and now works alongside Zero to guard the Academy's secret. Cross Adademy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, protecting the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires!

Review

Yuki was saved 10 years ago from an attack by a vampire but her savior was none other than a vampire himself. Ten years have passed now she's a student at Cross Academy working for the guard because she's one of two students who knows the truth about the night students that they are really vampires. Teamed up with Zero who survived a vampire attack that killed his family four years ago the pair works to keep them separate but it's hard when all the vampires are so attractive.

I like Yuki even if she does have a little hero worship for Kaname but he is a good guy, after all, he saved her life and keeps the other night students in check. I'm not sure about Zero he's got issues and it looks like things have changed dramatically for him since the attack. I'm not sure how the dynamic between these three is going to play out nor am I sure if one of them would be a good love interest just yet as both are vampires.

I've seen a few episodes of the anime years ago but I don't remember much of the story so I felt that this is a perfect time to dive right into the manga. The story is interesting we are just starting to see into our trio's world where vampires have recently come to the attention of the humans. I'm curious to see how it's going to work out with the tablet they are taking for the blood. I like the idea of humans and vampires both attending the school, and I'm curious to see how it's going to progress. I've heard so many great things about this manga and so far I'm hooked. The artwork is well done it fits with the words even though it's translated to English.
