Sleeping Beauty never looked this hot!

It’s finally Lisa’s turn to wake her very own dragon prince with a kiss (and more). She’s been waiting for her chance to sleep with one of the hot shifters since she first saw them. What she didn’t need was the added pressure of a battle raging outside at the time.

Prince Verrian wakes to the shocking news that he’s been asleep for three hundred years. In that time everything he’s ever known has changed. Some of the changes, like the gorgeous human woman who woke him, are good. Others, not so much.

When they step outside his chamber, they find that friend and enemy alike have disappeared, leaving them alone in the middle of the Australian outback, with no vehicle and no phone reception.

And no idea who won the battle.

Sleeping Dragon is part 1 in the six part, Dragon Echoes serial. It follows on from the Dragon Ruins serial.

Review

Lisa knew what she had to do to wake the sleeping Verrian so he would be ready to fight, so when it ended she shouldn't find that she had the feelings she does. When they flee the chamber to find themselves alone Lisa needs to introduce Verrian to the modern world avoid detection, and get back to his brother. If only Lisa didn't have a reporter determined to get the story on the dragon she saw.

I admit I didn't like Lisa right off the bat but maybe that's because she was so willing to sleep with the dragon shifters and I wasn't sure why other than they are attractive. I admit as the book progressed she grew on me as neither one could deny the attraction.

I couldn't sleep last night and while browsing my kindle happened across Sleeping dragon, and since it was the first in the series I figure it was worth checking out. I didn't know going into Sleeping Dragon that it was actually a story that came after another series so it all felt a little cheesy at first because it didn't make sense. Now that I know it's kind of part of a series or a spin-off it all makes sense which is why I found the book redeeming. I haven't read this author before but I enjoyed her story-telling I was captivated enough to stay up to finish it last night. It's a fast-paced story with just enough steamy moments to balance out the action. I'm curious to see how the series played out but I think I need to read the other one first.
