Top Ten Tuesday!
I'm playing around with my own graphic I'll be trying a few out of the next month. I want one unique to me.
This week's topic:
Top ten books that I struggled to read.
I'm kind of odd when it comes to books. I try really hard to read stuff the appeals to me but even if it's not my cup of tea I give it the benifit of the doubt. So I've been known to push through. Only four come to mind because it's been a while since I read a book I didn't enjoy.
1. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - Still trying to get through this one. The start was so slow I've put it down many times. I want to love it but with my high hopes I'm just nervous I'll hate it. Don't help that the book is over 900 pages.
2. Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin - I've started this one but it's huge. So intimidating. I need to start working on it because I love the show.
3 . Rewrite Redemption by J.H. Walker - I wanted to love this one but only made it half way before I couldn't take anymore. While the story is interesting it just seemed to drag on.
4. Nightshade by Andrea Cremer - I struggled though this one. Wanted to love it but I didn't. I was going to not finish but figured might as well because so many love it.
What's on your top ten list this week?
Nightshade was tricky at times! Totally forgot about that one! Shouldn't have! But yeah, I chose books that were like that. When some details, history, or other points/elements made it a struggled to carry on. But I did through 9/10 of my picks! And ended up liking all 9 on some level!

One of the reasons I haven't tried reading Outlander is because of the length. It's just so intimidating!
ReplyDeleteOutlander gets better, but it took me some effort to get through that one. Yikes. I've read the first 4 books in the series. Book two is an absolute bore. Snooze worthy. Book 3 and 4 are excellent. Long, drawn out, but excellent. Nightshade - Ugh! That's all I have to say about that.
