The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It's been a great week lots to keep busy even though my husband was gone. He seems to be flying back to back which isn't a bad thing as my Starbucks coffee cup collection is growing leaps and bounds with each trip. He even picked me up an authentic totem pole from Alaska for the top of my bookshelf.

The weather has been nice it's been chilly but it looks like we may not get any more rain which is awesome. Maybe this way Northern California won't wash away with all the flooding.

I've been doing Zumba in the am and walking at the duck pond on base. It's a great trail with some nice hills and flat areas. I took the dogs two days and while Grimm loved it, I think Khaleesi isn't a dog who likes following a path. With Zumba and walking, I exceeded 10k steps all week goal. My body decided that I needed to take a break after 3 steady weeks of this. So I've decided workout on the weekend is optional and just keep it to the 5 days. This is the first long walk they ended up sleeping but wouldn't sit next to each other so I could get a good picture.

I didn't get a lot of crafty, reading or binge watching done. I kinda burned myself out a little on fitness but I think I've built up a routine so we will see how the new week goes and getting back to normal.
I'm currently at 37 of 250 which has me behind by one. I hope to catch up this week.

These brownies are going to be the death of me. They are from scratch and one of the best brownies I've had. I even picked up stuff to make another batch this week so I can post the recipe on Friday.

  2. I have way too many coffee mugs but I always seem to find cool ones that I can't live without. I love the totem pole. I think it's great that he picks you up lil things that he knows you'd love at every stop he makes. You may not be getting rain up there but down here in San Diego we're still getting showers. I love it though. We've been CA off and on for about 9 years and it's always been so dry and sad looking. All these flowers and greenery is a nice change.
