Who meets their Prince Charming in an elevator on a day when nothing seems to go right?

Lena Masterson was having a rough day.

Her coffee pot exploded, her favorite heel broke on the way to work, her computer died, and her coworker sabotaged her performance review that she should have aced. To top it all off, she had to stay late to fix someone else's mistake. So when she literally ran into a handsome stranger at work, she was fairly certain that it might actually be the worst day of her life. Instead, it was the start of something wonderful.

From the moment she nearly bowled the man over, she couldn't take her mind off of him. She didn't know anything about him, and could only assume that he was someone's assistant. Still, the encounter left her with new self-confidence. She made a move assertive enough to get the attention of her boss' boss, and be granted a new position as the personal paralegal of the head partner. This promotion soon led to an important trip to the Caribbean, where she saw a familiar face on the beach...

Everything seemed perfect when she was in Aiden's arms (other than her missing shoe), but he was holding something back. Worse, Lena was keeping a secret from him as well. She knew that she couldn't keep up her little white lie forever, but it turned out that Aiden's secret was much bigger. Much much much bigger. A billion times bigger, in fact. Even though he treated her like Cinderella while away from real life, it was possible that the billionaire playboy just thought of her as one of his "flavors of the week". After saying goodbye with one last barefoot kiss and returning to the real world, there was a burning question on Lena's mind: Did this Prince Charming love her as much as she loved him?

Review
Lena's day has started off rough with a series of bad luck but at least she's getting her review which will make it all worth it. She's work hard earning her raise but when it comes time for her review she learns that the one person she doesn't get along with has ruined any chance of her getting a raise. To top it off she has to cancel her plans to see her sister and work late while doing the job for the one person who hurt her raise. Things aren't looking up for Lena but that's when fate takes a hand giving her a handsome stranger to help her return some books, and giving her the courage to stand up for herself.

Thanks to Aiden's encounter it gives Lena the push she takes the proof that they need to save a client millions and going right to the partner in charge of the case. Little did she know at the time but her future would change when a chance job drops into her lap. Now working only for one of the named partners her life has changed and even get's to go on a business trip to the Caribean. She had no idea she would be meeting Aiden, but the two can't deny the attraction and start a whirlwind romance. What about the secrets they both have, will a romance survive after she leaves?

I love Lena she's super nice to the point that she lets people walk all over her. She just needs to find her voice which she seems to do after meeting up Aiden. They have a sweet whirlwind romance finding in each other what they have been missing and it just works. The chemistry between them is a mix of sweet and steamy which I like. He's just the perfect guy for Lena they just both need to accept fate.

I'm such a fan of Krista Lakes books each one is better than the last. I love that the characters are all slightly connected throughout the Kisses series even if they are just business connections. After all how many sexy billionaires can there really be in the world. I loved Lena she may be my favorite girl in the series as I found her easy to connect with as we are very similar. I love the authors writing style she's created this unique world where all these people are intertwined. I enjoy her storytelling it's easy to get lost in her books and they are hard to put down. I actually finished Barefoot Kisses in just one afternoon, I just had to see how it was going to play out. I'm looking forward to reading another book by the author, as she's one of my favorites.
