An older man is flirting with her and telling her they should make a movie together.
And she’s crushing on an adorable surfer. Dating a guy like him would mean committing social suicide.

So she writes a new script. One where all the pieces of her life will come together in perfect harmony.
But little does she know, there’s someone who will do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen.

Review

I received Stalk Me in return for a honest review as part of the blog tour hosted by AToMR ToursKeatyn reminds me a lot of Gossip Girl she reminds me of Serena Van Der Woodsen (yup that's a mouthful) kind of naive when it comes to boys, she likes to party she's not a drinker but she's still one of the popular girls. However instead of having a mother who is a socialite her mom is a famous actress America's sweetheart. Keatyn has been in a relationship with a former child actor Sanders who has told her from the start he's waiting for marriage which is honorable but Keatyn takes it as he's not interested in her that way, and they have more of a friends relationship then a couple. After prom Keatyn decides she's had enough and it's time to end it with Sanders after all she's kind of in love with the surfer down the beach Brooklyn.

Surprisingly her breakup with Sanders ends well the two decide to stay friends leaving her single for Brooklyn who gives her the impression he's interested but wanting to take it slow. She also has attention from of her guy friends from school a fellow soccer player and also a ladies man who she can't see herself with but when Brooklyn blows her off she decides maybe she should see what Cush is all about. She learns that he's been in love with her for years but timing was off and now that she's single he doesn't want to miss his chance. They have a quick very sweet little romance but when a girl attempting to destroy Keatyn to take her place as the popular girl uses Cush, it sends there once happy relationship to its end.

School is out and Keatyn heads off for France seeking to get away from all the drama back home. While in France she meets up with one of her surfing buddies and learns that Brooklyn still misses her and he wasn't blowing her off to hang out with girls he was hanging out with pro surfers. At his insistence she agrees to talk to Brooklyn and learns that he's been missing her, at her suggestion since she's not ready to come home yet, he jumps on the next place to France. The two tour around Europe surfing and lounging on the beach until they meet up with Damian and hang out with his band. Things don't go so well for Keatyn and Brooklyn because he's not into hanging out in the clubs and watching her dance with other guys. When they return home and instead of making it official he decides to spend the next year on a surfing tour leaving Keatyn behind.

As if the men in Keatyn's life aren't enough she has to worry about what will happen in school, will she stay popular will she have real friends? Her mother is being stalked by a fan of hers who's sent in letter for years that learned about her more mature movie and is sending threating letters. But unlike the past letter these threats are turning up in the girl’s backpacks, in her purse just to start. Keatyn has all been offered the part in a movie to play a role her mother played when she was young in a remake of her mom's movie. Will Keatyn find be happy with her choices? Will she find Mr. Right to have the kind of script she has been planning for years? Will her mother survive the threats from the crazy fan? Will Keatyn do the movie?

This book is very much like Gossip girl and maybe because I've been a fan for as long as I can remember I can relate to the characters. Keatyn is a very innocent girl when it comes to love and relationships. some of her choices may not be the best, she follows her heart more often than not even if it does lead to heartbreak. Throughout the book the more you read the more you learn about Keatyn and the world she's grown up in you learn more about why she is the way she is. It's not all been rainbows being the daughter of a famous actress, but she's done her best and for that I was impressed how she handles things. She had a few iffy moments with an older guy that I wasn't too keen on but in the end it works itself out. I can honestly say if you take all the guys in her life throw them in a blender and make one guy it would be the prefect guy they all bring a little bit of something different to the table. Overall it's a fun read, I had a hard time putting it down and even stayed up late to finish because I wanted to know what would happen next. I found Stalk me well written, the story flows smoothly and I enjoyed the twists and turns I didn't see coming in the book. However it's a mature young adult because it's filled with adult situations, drinking, sex and drugs to name a few.

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday November 28th 2012

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating. In my case not so patiently waiting for the new releases, which I lack.

This weeks WoW doesn't have a real cover yet, instead we just have a temp cover but after reading the first two I'm dying to read the third one. However this one has no synopsis or cover art yet but I wanted to share it's one of my top wants right now.

Chosen by Kristen Day
Expected Publication January 2013
(Goodreads)
 Prior Books
Forsaken (Goodreads)
Awaken (Goodreads)

**Spoiler**

The second book ends with Stasia sacrificing her body in order to tied to the underworld so that she could be with Finn. Yet Persephone gives her amnesty and she is returned to Finns side but her essence contains the darkness that she needs to be with Finn. Nadia's claim over him has been removed by her mother as well but that's not the last we will see of her. At the ceremony where Finn takes over for Charon as the new ruler, Nadia shows up rips Finn's soul from his body and of course the book ends.

Yup dying to know what happens next.

Since Chosen doesn't have a cover yet or synopsis so it's not a real teaser for Wow I picked two. The other book I'm dying to get my hands on this week.  What the Spell sounds a lot like a 80's teen movie I can't remember the name but it sounds like a fun read.

What the Spell?

Expected Publication January 29th 2013

On her milestone birthday, Brooklyn’s conservative parents finally unbind her powers, which include the ability to magically match couples with a love spell. Brooklyn uses her special skills to get a makeover, new friends, and the attention of her crush, Asher. But the popular clique Brooklyn wants to infiltrate puts her in the same precarious position as her Salem ancestors: If she’s found out, she could be vilified—and lose Asher in the process. Can she make the most of her magic, or will she be luckless and loveless? Be careful what you witch for!

Author Interview: Moira Keith

Author Interview: Moira Keith

Today I'm super excited to share a interview with Moira Keith the author of the exciting new Moonlight Series.

Mandy - Where do you get your inspiration?
Moira - Usually I find it in the things I see or hear in everyday life as well as from reading. I have a very active imagination so it only takes a little seed to start the idea tree off.

Mandy -Where did you get the idea for Blood and Moonlight?
Moira - The idea for Blood and Moonlight came to me while I was reading a book called Wars of the Irish Kings. It details battles fought both real and mythological. It was a mythological battle that was my seed of inspiration. It gave me the perfect opportunity to blend two things I love—faeries and wolves.

Mandy - Did you always know you wanted to be a writer?
Moira - No. When I was younger I always thought I would be an artist or a marine biologist. In fact, I obsessed over marine biology for a while. Something just kept me from pursuing that, perhaps a sixth sense.

Mandy - Where and when do you prefer to do your writing?
Moira - I've written in a lot of places, but it seems my most productive time is in the mornings. That is when I have to face the least amount of distractions. As far as where...well I actually float back and forth between sitting on my bed with the laptop or the desk.

Mandy -If your book was made into a TV series or Movie, what actors would you like to see playing your characters?  Feel free to add pics.
Moira - Henry Cavill, would play Devlin well I think. He has that whole sexy, brooding thing down and he is definitely delish. Plus, he could kick some serious arse if need be.

Ashley Greene for Kiara would work well. I love her personality and I think she can really portray Kiara the way I see her.

Mandy - Do you prefer ebooks, paperbacks or hardcover?
Moira -  I tend to enjoy ebooks for the ability to carry lots of books without taking up much space. If I really love the book though, I have to get it in hardcover for my collection. Some authors are auto hardcover buys for me though.

Mandy - What are 5 items you never leave home without.
Moira - Well it depends on where I'm going, but usually I have my purse, kindle fire, my twin lil zombies (do they count?), pen, and paper. (If I'm going somewhere where I will have time to write, then the pen and paper are traded for the laptop)

Mandy - Do you have a guilty pleasure?
Moira - Going to the local pub with some of my friends. Nothing beats hanging out, talking, eating potato skins, and having draft Guinness.

Mandy - Do you have a favorite TV show?
Moira - A little secret about me, I don't have cable or even receive local channels on my TV. However, when I get the chance to indulge in shows, I'm an NCIS and Walking Dead junkie.

Mandy - Anything you want to say to your readers?
Moira - Just keep reading. In no way, can an author continue to do what they love without you!

Review: Blood and Moonlight

Title - Blood and Moonlight
Author - Moira Keith
Series or Standalone - Series Moonlight #1
Genre - Urban Fantasy
Publication August 11th 2012
(Goodreads) & (Amazon)

Synopsis

Moonlight Trilogy Book One.

Though she shares the bloodlines of both Fae and Wolf, Kiara Morrigan O’Conaill refuses to claim her place in the Fae courts or submit to the animal within. Witnessing the murder of her Fae mother two years ago drives her back into those worlds, to search for answers and revenge.

Devlin McClure lives for one thing—the Pack. When their leader, the Cadeyrn, disappears, desperation sends Devlin to the last person he should be asking for help—the Cadeyrn’s estranged daughter, Kiara.

Kiara and Devlin are drawn to each other by fate and destined to embrace the very thing that threatens to rip their worlds apart. Now, Kiara will have to decide which is stronger, blood or moonlight?

Opening Teaser

"Thanks for nothing!" I slammed down the phone, then picked it back up and screamed into the handset once more. "Asshole!"
As if on cue, the office door opened and Reese breezed in like a tornado, the local paper tucked under her arm. Her hair, the perfect shade of cotton-candy pink, trailed down her back in a waterfall of curls from the taut ponytail atop her head. The dagger strapped to her thigh was the only indication there was more to the woman than met the eye. Perching herself on the corner of my desk, she studied me with eyes flecked with shades of midnight, turquoise, and powder blue. She was a beautiful representation of full-blooded fae and my best friend.

Review

I received Blood and Moonlight in return for an honest review as part of the Blog Tour Hosted by Bewitching Book Tours. Kiara is half werewolf and half fae but she grew up in the fae court knowing that her father passed away when she was little. When her mother is murdered the queen banishes Kiara from the court sending her on a search for the fae named Isleen who promised to give her answers but she's not seen her since. When the alpha werewolf shows up at her office asking for her help in finding his alpha who also happens to be her father who she thought was dead.

Kiara isn't thrilled with the idea of helping find the father she didn't know was still alive. It's no secret that the wolves and fae don’t see eye to eye. With her bodyguard insistence that she might be able to find the answers to the many questions she's been searching for she agrees. With her help Devlin knows they should be able to find the Cadeyrn of his pack, before it's too late. When others go missing including several of the wolves, along with attempts on Kiara's life. However the closer they get to finding the Cadyrn the stronger the attraction between Kiara and Devlin grows. Together they will take an adventure that will change their lives forever.

I love the concept for Blood and Moonlight maybe because I've been waiting for years for the mixed blood main character. Kiara brings a perfect mix of the wolf and the fae she has all the emotions I would expect a character of mixed blood who hasn't been welcomed by the pack or the court. I love the romance between Devlin and Kiara it's a fun added mix to the mystery that the pair is trying to solve. The book though short I found very well written, it leaves you wanting more but feeling satisfied for the moment. Overall it's a great first chapter in Kiara's life and I can't wait to read more about her adventures
