Synopsis
The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate percentage of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance between her and the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.

Review

I received this book from Netgalley in return for an honest review. This book tells the story of Abby and Travis. Abby is running from a dark past so when she heads off to collage her best friend America to start fresh without her past chasing her. One night America drags Abby to a fight that her boyfriend’s cousin is fighting in. Abby gets her first real look at Travis he’s the exact kind of guy she’s trying to avoid. However Travis is persistent, and doesn’t give up trying to win her over. She doesn't want to be another notch in his belt since he’s known for a sleep with them, and leave them type of guy.

As they start to become friends the pair makes a bet on Travis’s next fight. If he gets hit then he has to be abstinent for a month, if he doesn’t get hit then Abby has to live with him for a month. Of course he doesn’t get hit and Abby has to move in with Travis for a month because she never welches on a bet. Over the next month they develop into best friends and Travis learns to care of Abby something he’s never done before. They each have their own drama that cause flare ups in the relationship, apart they are both dysfunctional but together they are functional and it's really sweet.

This book had me a little unsure because I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews so I was a little nervous. I was hooked by the first 10% I was in love with both Abby and Travis they are just so perfect together it's just they don't see it. I feel like the characters are so well written your right there alongside. This book is written feels more like real life then a story, and no one is perfect. I found that it felt real refreshing.

As the book progressed I kept cheering to myself since my hubby didn't care for Abby and Travis to make it work. I had a hard time putting it down I found myself reading when I shouldn't have been reading but it's such a awesome story I had to know if it would end the way I wanted it too. I had some teary moments when drama happened and my heart went out to the pair. I just really loved the story.
