The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Another week of Soccer for the little one. I had planned to read at practice but it's been hard and easy to be distracted by the little ones. We had our first game it's just for fun no keeping score but the loved it. The older one has been in homeschooling all week which has been working out well.
Just a couple more weeks and my husband will be home so I need to get some reading done. I did get some sewing done which turned out great.
I'm going to do some baking this week since I didn't get as much done as I wanted last week. I'm making a cheesecake Sunday for my neighbor.
Really just a busy week I admit a little to much TV watching but I hae to get caught up before my husband get's home.

I hope everyone is staying cool and having a great week.

I rescued a little almost dead lemon tree when I went to Lowes. They had it on clearance for $3 bucks so I had to bring it home. I found some black currant bushes in my back yard but due to the heat they were dying. Decided to attempt a transplant into a pot in front safe from the dogs. I'm hoping in a week or two it will start to sprout some leaves like my other lemon tree next to it.

I also decided to get my sewing on and make to bags as well as a skirt. I picked up a whole bunch of fabric this week and can't wait to start cutting up a new project.

I didn't get any baking done this week but I have plans for the new week. First off a cheesecake as well as scones.

  2. It sounds as if you've been busy so it's no surprise you've not had as much time reading as you'd like... but I'm thinking family probably comes first! :-)

And I love the idea of not keeping score in soccer games for the little ones!

  7. You really keep busy! I envy anyone who can sew. I just have negative memories of trying to sew growing up, so I avoid it now. As for your books: Wow, what a haul! I would love to read many of them. Time is always an issue, though. Have a great week of family, fun, and books!

  9. I hope you enjoy Stealing Snow and the prequels! I'm reading the book right now and I have to say it hasn't grabbed me yet. :( Three Dark Crowns has been on my anticipated releases for a while and I can't wait to get to read that one!

I joined Instagram and have enjoyed seeing what bookstagrammers are doing on there, but I doubt that I will be posting anything of substance. Oh well, I still enjoy browsing!
