The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Last week weather wise was amazing but the 70's and 80's wasn't meant to last we are have worked our way back to triple digits. It' looks like we will be going back down to low 80s so let's hope this is summers last stand. The heat takes all the fun out of being outside so we've been hanging inside the last few days.

I have a review book that has me in a funk. I'm just not loving it and it's killed my week for reading. I think it's sadly time to DNF and move on. I've been trudging at it all week which has caused me to not read anything else.

We are on the downward slide my husband will be home in less than 30 days which is awesome. I can't wait to have him home it feels like he's been gone forever but really just a few months.

I hope everyone is staying cool and having a great week.

  1. The beginning of the week was hot but the last few days gorgeous. Today is cool but sticky because we are going to get rain. The weather gods need to just pick something already. I am getting weather whiplash.

I managed to get out of my reading funk and read two books in two days. I was very proud of myself lol. I am sure once you DNF you will feel better.

I hope you have a fantastic week, Mandy! Happy Reading! ox

  2. 30 days will pass before you know it. Yep, sometimes a DNF is for the best. It took me over 25 years to learn that lesson, but now I try anything without fear. Have a wonderful week!

  3. It has been hot and humid here too (thankfully not triple digits though!). I can't wait for cold weather!
I have too many books to read to suffer through one that just isn't working! I will DNF a book and not think twice about it now. Life is too short to read books that aren't working for me!
    Enjoy your new books!

  4. I hate it when one book ruins your whole reading week.

  5. I really like your rings.
I really hate when a book does not meet expectations.
