Above me, the flock of birds took off in a riot of indignant squawks while I sat horrified and covered in bird shit. 
3.  Caitlin lives in a small town in upstate New York. Knowing what I do about the vampires I will still choose to live in her world. I'm enjoying my book and looking forward to finishing it.
