The Match Maker
by Karey White
(The Husband Maker #2)
(Summary contains spoilers if you have not yet read book #1 The Husband Maker)
It’s been six months since Charlotte and Kyle broke up, and the Husband Maker strikes again. Kyle is officially engaged, while Charlotte is still nursing a broken heart.
In an effort to get Charlotte out of her rut, she and her best friend decide it’s time for some good old-fashioned matchmaking. While Aleena arranges for Charlotte to meet up with a handsome Scottish tourist, Charlotte gets her two best friends together. But when sparks start to fly between Aleena and Angus, Charlotte is left feeling more alone that ever--at least until the charming Scotsman becomes more than just a safe, rebound guy and teaches her that maybe, just maybe, she can dare to open her heart again.

Review
I received The Match Maker in return for an honest review
as part of the tour hosted by I Am A Reader. The Match Maker takes place six
months down the road from the end of the first book. Charlotte shows up to work
to learn that Kyle is engaged and to none other than Wyatt. She can’t deny the fact that they are the
perfect power couple for his political ambitions. While Kyle may have moved on
Charlotte hasn’t be able to but with the help of her friend Aleena she may just
be able to move on.
When Charlotte has a chance encounter with a Scottish guy
visiting his brother she knows nothing can come from it after all he’s just
visiting. She agree’s to see him while he’s in town as her rebound to make her
friend happy and even sets up Aleena with Angus. While spending just the few
days with Flynn has been great she knows she’s not supposed to get attached but
when he leaves for home she’s thrilled when he facebook’s her. What started out
as a rebound has turned into a quick friendship with her even venturing across
the pond. Has she met the one? What about when everything changes at home.
I love Charlotte as a character she’s been unlucky in
love when it comes to finding the right one but all her priors have found the
one they want. I’m torn I like Flynn he has lots of potential even if he’s just
across the pond but deep down I just don’t know if he’s the one she’s been
looking for. I really like the family connection it’s a refreshing aspect of
the story. I love Angus he’s just the good guy who’s always been there for her
and with all the changes I just don’t know if he will.
I feel like I have been waiting forever for The Match
Maker after reading the first one with the cliffhanger I was dying to know how
it would play out. Now I know I have to wait for the final book in the trio to
get a wedding which I can’t wait for. I’m in the area where the story takes
place and really love the fact that the novel has places that I’m familiar with
I felt I was able to connect even more on a personal level to the story. The characters
are great I love Charlotte she’s a total sweetheart even if she just can’t seem
to make it work. The book is beautifully written it’s a fun story that takes
the reader on an emotional rollercoaster. I can’t wait to see how it’s all
going to play out. I also like that the series is a clean romance with a lot of
sweet aspects which is what I prefer in my romance novels. A must for anyone
who is looking for a light romance series.
