Q. Who Is Your Favorite Villain From A Book?
A. I couldn't think of one to be honest but as I thought about it two stuck out in my mind.
1. In November I read Awaken by Kristen Day her Daughters of the Sea Series. Book 2 was awesome but had this bad girl named Nadia who is the daughter of Persephone who makes the main character Anastasia’s life hell. She's one of those girls I could accidentally run over with my car and feel like I made the world a better place. (not that I would run anyone over)

2. I also used to love the Anita Blake Series by Laurell K Hamilton. For me the series was killed when Anita gained Jean Claude’s “ardeur” which causes her to need sex and blood all the time.  For me it was a series killer because I loved kick-ass zombie raising vampire hunter. The series has gone a little to smutty over the years but I keep reading hoping one day she will bring back the Anita that I loved since they first came out. Anita Blake was my first paranormal book when I was a teen. So I'll never stop reading them but I can dream for less smut more kick-ass Anita.

Who's your favorite villain from a book?

I loved the Anita Blake series but I agree lately the books just haven't been the same.

  4. I haven't read Awakened but I have read all the Anita Blake series. I agree that the books took a very smutty turn, but I thought the last one had more of the old Anita in it (there's still smut but not all the way through). Thanks for stopping by my FF this week. Old follower :)

  6. I haven't read either of these, but any girl that you'd entertain the idea of running over using your car definitely should make a top villain!

  9. Great choices! I tended to think of only male villians, but of course, there are female villains too!!

  10. I've never read the Anita Blake series. I keep hearing about it though. I see that you're a fan of Twilight and the Dark Hunter series is on your TBR pile, I'm a huge fan of both. Oh if you're a YA fan I have to recommend Taste by Kate Evangelista. I'm an adult but I have to say I loved that book and I'm eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.

  11. I haven't read the Anita Blake series yet, but I have all of the books so far on my Kindle Fire and I am definitely going to try to get to at least the first couple. I see that you're a fan of the Hex Hall and the Revenants series. I definitely love those. :)

New follower for sure, stop by the blog sometime.

  12. I loved Anita Blake, too. I don't have a problem with the smut - I became disinterested because there was too much of the same smuttiness happening over and over again. At some point, I was like - just pick a guy, Anita! Jean-Claude! jean-Claude ;-)

    Followed you back!
