It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Welcome to It's Monday! is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at Bookjourney to share with others what you've read the past week and are planning to read the next.

This week I'm kinda behind on my reading, so I've not read as much as I wanted. So I'm making myself do better with the new week. I did read three books which isn't so bad but they were kinda short but good ones.

Don't Call me Angel by Alicia Wright Brewster Review

An Apple A Day Keeps Murder Away by Janet McNulty Review

Frogs, Snails, And A Lot of Wails by Janet McNulty Review

So this week I'm going for super ambitious in my reading. I have lots of free time so I should be able to get through my growing TBR pile this week is the plan.

Currently I'm reading Faerie Tales: The Misfortune of a Teenage Socialite By Brandi Salazar. I'm only a few chapters in but already it's already sucked me into the story. I should have the review up today or tomorrow pending how things go in the real world.
Synopsis
Tossed into a world of Magic she'd only ever read about in books, Valerie Williams goes from teenage drama queen to tooth faerie almost overnight. Struggling to maintain her social status in a high school where designer clothes and having the right boyfriend make the person, she finds that what's on the outside doesn't always determine what's on the inside.

Having a hard time adjusting to the maturity she's been forced into, Valerie finds love and makes mistakes that could cost her everything. To make matters worse, she discovers that her employer, Enamel Wear Inc. is hiding a secret that may just leave her future hanging in the balance.

Up next I'm going to read A Bad Day for Voodoo by Jeff Strand for the blog tour I'm doing. I also have a giveaway for your own copy of this book here. This one has been teasing me because I want to read it just haven't gotten to it on my priority TBR list as I call it.
Synopsis
When your best friend is just a tiny bit psychotic, you should never actually believe him when he says, "Trust me." This is gonna be awesome."
Of course, you probably wouldn't believe a voodoo doll couldn't work either. Or that is cause someone's leg to blow clean off with one quick prick. But I've seen it. It can happen.
And when there's suddenly a doll of you floating around out there--a doll that could be snatched by a Rottweiler and torn to shreds, or a gang of thugs ready to torch it, or any random family of cannibals (really, do you need the danger here spelled out for you?)-well, you know that's just gonna be a really bad day....

After that I've got Generation Dead by Daniel Waters. I've been dying to try this series for months, the real teaser was looking at it on my shelf taunting me as it has for the last few weeks. I love the cover on this one.
Synopsis
Phoebe Kendall is just your typical goth girl with a crush. He's strong and silent...and dead.
All over the country, a strange phenomenon is occurring. Some teenagers who die aren't staying dead. But when they come back to life, they are no longer the same. Feared and misunderstood, they are doing their best to blend into a society that doesn't want them.
The administration at Oakvale High attempts to be more welcoming of the "differently biotic." But the students don't want to take classes or eat in the cafeteria next to someone who isn't breathing. And there are no laws that exist to protect the "living impaired" from the people who want them to disappear-for good.
When Phoebe falls for Tommy Williams, the leader of the dead kids, no one can believe it; not her best friend, Margi, and especially not her neighbor, Adam, the star of the football team. Adam has feelings for Phoebe that run much deeper then just friendship; he would do anything for her. But what if protecting Tommy is the one thing that would make her happy?

Then last but not least I want to read Moon Dance by J.R. Rain this one has been on my TBR list for so long and now that the new one is out I feel like I should catch up. I did start listening to it via kindle when I drove to pick up my hubby at the airport so I had my interest peaked but I hate to listen because I miss stuff so I want to start it over this week and read the whole book. It sounds super good.
Synopsis
Mother, wife, private investigator...vampire. Six years ago federal agent Samantha Moon was the perfect wife and mother, your typical soccer mom with the minivan and suburban home. Then the unthinkable happens, an attack that changes her life forever. And forever is a very long time for a vampire.
Now the world at large thinks Samantha has developed a rare skin disease, a disease which forces her to quit her day job and stay out of the light of the sun. Now working the night shift as a private investigator, Samantha is hired by Kingsley Fulcrum to investigate the murder attempt on his life, a horrific scene captured on TV and see around the world. But as the case unfolds, Samantha discovers Kingsley isn't exactly what he appears to be; afters all, there is a reason why he survived five shots to the head.

Well that's the plan for the week try to get all 4 in if I can get a few more in that would be awesome but at least the 4 hopefully more. What are your plans for the week?
