Anika Webb is an extremely talented witch with certain goals in mind; pass the final hex-trial at Mystic Manor, and spend the rest of her free time tussling beneath the sheets with her hunky-warlock lover, Drake.

But with all good intentions, evil will fatefully intercede.

After a jealous foe unleashes a hailstorm of mischief onto an unsuspecting small-town, Anika finds herself battling a volatile spell; where all bets are off, and magic will fly.

Review
Anika is a witch creating the spell that will allow her to practice on her own. It’s while casting her spell her rival sister witch showed up ruining her spell and sending darkness into the town. Determined to stop is Anika and her boyfriend head off after it armed with a magical spelled broom. Together the duo battle against large snakes, killer trees and even a magical bull. Will Anika be able to make it out alive and finish off the magic that is determined to cause havoc? What will happen when she reveals what happened with the spell?

I like Anika but it’s hard not to like her since she has a pocket dragon that has the ability to shrink or grow large enough for her to ride them. Anika is a sweet character with a good heart who just happens to have a sexy warlock boyfriend. We also have a little insight into Drake as well as Ginger her new friend. I like the chemistry between Anika and Drake it works well and they complement each other well.

I picked up Chasing Magic purely based on the cover it’s stunning so I knew I had to read it after I saw it. I love the world that Anika lives in a unique world of witches among the human and other supernaturals. The story is well written it’s beautifully done and easy to get lost in the story. I loved the authors writing style she’s a talented story teller and Chasing Magic is no exception. I enjoyed the characters they are easy to connect with and you can’t help enjoying them. The story is perfect for a fast paced action packed read that is easy to fit in one sitting. My only complaint is that I want more of Anika and her world I’m secretly hoping to see more in the future.
