Review

I watched the first few episodes on nextflix but it’s not in English so I opted to go with the manga to check it out because the complete series exists instead of just season one. This is my first manga so I don’t really have any prior experience to base it off when it comes to the art or story. I like the art it’s not over complex when it comes to telling the story it seems to work for the gritty horror story. So far the story while is well developed it’s easy to get lost turning the pages.

The ninth installment starts out with the survey corps trying to find the breach in the wall that has let the titans in. While broken up into teams one member encounters a furry Titan who speaks the same language he’s more of a beast than man. The recruits are dispensed to the villages to warn of the titan attacks some encounter titans other encounter family along the way. They even make a last stand swarmed by titans at Utgard Castle where another secret is revealed that could change things.

I liked the ninth so much more than some of the others. I feel like we are really starting to get a little more info about the origin of the titans. We still haven’t made it to Eren’s basement but hopefully they will be heading that way because I’m dying to know what’s inside. This volume had a lot of action even a little emotional back story as well as lots of death. It’s a lot like Game of Thrones don’t get attached because they could die it’s a dangerous job being in the Survey Corps. Hopefully with the new information and Eren’s titan abilities they might stand a chance at taking back the walls and figure out how the titans are created. I really like series it’s a quick fast paced manga that is easy to complete in just a short 20 minute span.
