1. What's the name of your current read?
2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share one complete sentence.
3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?
1. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge - Goodreads
2. Seventeen years of waiting for marriage had left me bitter and cruel. Nine hundred years of slavery had left him gentle, still trying to help every one of Ignifex’s victims, even when he knew that he would fail. Even when the victim was me.
My breath dwindled away. I didn’t realize I was leaning closer to him until he closed the final distance and kissed me. It was slow and gentle but vast, like a rising tide. It felt like forgiveness. Like peace.
3. I've only gotten a few pages in so it's hard to say if I would or wouldn't want to live in the world. We will have to see when I get a little more into the book.

I loved The Beautiful and the Cursed! It's gorgeous! I wasn't a huge fan of Cruel Beauty, but I'm in the minority with that. I loved the writing and the world, but I hated the characters. They were awful people/things who were all very selfish. I still want to read her other book, Crimson Bound, though. I hope you have better luck with Cruel Beauty than I did.
