Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke And The Brookish. Who doesn't love lists. They make life easy! And fun!! It's always a never ending topic.

This week's topic:
Top ten bookish problems

1. Time - Never enough time in the day to read. Even if I spent the whole day reading still wouldn't be enough time to read.

2. 1 Click - My kindle 1 click obsession for the freebies. I can't help checking out the freebies and buying the ones that jump out at me. I've been better with the one click that cost money I only try to buy them when I plan to read them or if they are on sale.

3. Room -  Not enough room on my bookshelves and no room for a new bookshelf in my bed room where I hide my books away from the dogs and kids. First thing I see when I get up and Last thing I see at night are my overloaded bookshelves.

4. Review books - I have a hard time saying no to review requests. I've been working really hard to limit the number of requests I accept via Netgalley or Edelweiss. I also try to limit the number of books I accept from authors. I haven't been reading many of the books I've been buying with all the review copies.

5. Last Chapter 1st - Depending on the book I've been known to read the last chapter of the book before it's time. Example love triangle I need to know who to like or make sure the one I like they pick. Or that my favorite doesn't get killed off or isn't the bad guy. Or to see who the killer is in a mystery. I like to peek it's happened more times than I care to mention. It's just harder to do on a kindle than a real book.

6. Covers - I buy way to many books based on the cover. Prime example I already read and reviewed Red Queen but because I love the cover I need to buy a copy for my shelves. I pick books to read based on covers and my hubby hates it he says that I'm missing out which I agree but I can't deny that a pretty cover get's me every time.

7. TBR - I have a never ending TBR list it keeps growing for every one book I read I feel like I add at least 10 books. Currently I have just shy of 7k books on my To read list. It keeps going up each day I'm adding more and more.

8. Tough Choices - Even with all the zillions of books I struggle to pick out what to read next. Example I just read 3 dystopian novels and have a dystopian novel to review but just couldn't bring myself to do another one. I went with a fantasy novel just to avoid burnout. Still I can spend hours trying to pick out a book to read.

I can't think of any others at the moment but I think my list of eight isn't bad.
What's on your top ten list this week?

  1. Deciding what to read next is HARD! Especially when I have so many gosh darn books in my tbr pile! I also can never say no to NetGalley or Edelweiss. I wish there was more time to read everything. I recently made an effort to curb the one clicking addiction. I was out of control. I buy books for their covers, too. I justify it because I know a few cover designers. It makes them happy to hear that. Great list!

  4. I always have the hardest time picking what to read next! Too many choices plus I'm very much a mood reader. I also have the 1-Click Obsession...my e-reader is overflowing with freebies and cheap books that I will probably never get to. Thanks for sharing!
