Review
Katelyn’s father was murdered when she younger but she’s always had the support of her mother. Now after a tragic fire Katelyn is forced to live with her grandfather she hasn’t seen in years he didn’t even show up for her mom’s funeral. Katelyn has to leave everything she’s known putting her dream on hold to travel across the country to Arkansas. Upon arriving it’s far from what she expected, they don’t have internet or cell service, and her grandfather is adamant that she can’t go out after dark. At least there is a positive side Trick who happens to her grandfather’s friend and drives her to school.

As she settles into life in Wolf Springs she is befriended by a popular girl Cordelia who doesn’t like Trick but seems genuine to her even though another girl warns her off. As the two form a quick friendship they start working together on a project about the history of Wolf Springs. It becomes apparent to Kat that Cordelia has a secret and something is going on with her family but she doesn’t want to talk about it. When Kat is attacked not once but twice by a blue eyed wolf her life changes forever.  Was it really a wolf or something else living in the woods that has the locals scared.

I honestly like Kat she’s been through so much in her life losing both her parents in tragic ways can’t be easy. She’s not a perfect character but I honestly feel that as the book progressed she kept getting better. I really liked Trick he’s a good guy with a bad rap but I hope to see more of him in the next book. I didn’t like Justin at first but now I’m on the fence because I hate love triangles so much. I loved Cordelia character she has this secret that can risk her family but risks everything for Kat.

I’m a huge werewolf fan so of course I’ve had this one on my TBR list forever so when the chance came up to read it for a challenge I jumped at it. I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews so I wasn’t expecting to love the story as much as I do. Unleashed takes the werewolf concept but has its own unique spin creating a unique new story. While getting bit will turn you into a werewolf they are born and raised like humans only they are far from and come from a long line of werewolves. I enjoyed the characters some more than others but I did connect with Kat. Unleashed is a fast paced story that mixes romance with real life, and tosses in the supernatural world to keep you on the edge of your toes. I honestly loved the story; I even stayed up way late just to find out cliff hanger. Omg I already have the next one on my kindle ready to go. I hope to read it soon.
4 out of 5 stars
