Book to Screen

Happy Thursday!

I'm sure everyone has heard of the new book to Netfliix coming this fall. I just had to share as this is one of my favorite series. The School of Good and Evil by Soman Chainani was one of those series and I devoured them all.

I'm so excited for the tv show, and I included the teaser because it looks amazing.

Have you read the books? Are you excited for the new series to air? I'm already planning to spend the day binge watching. I'm also debating a re-read the series again.  I'm a little nervous that they won't do it justice because the book is amazing but the teaser looks really promising.

Ten Books We've Read and Loved Since I started blogging

This is a tough list because it's been over 5 years and I've read lots of books that I love. So because I feel like this list could go on for years I decided to pick a few of my all time favorites of the last 5 years.

1. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire is one of the first review books that I became a little obsessed with. I first was introduced to Abby and Travis back in 2012 and to this day they are one of my favorite couples. They are broken, have issues, but together they just work and it's emotional but sweet.

2. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard - Another amazing series that I fell in love with in 2015 it was one of my top favorites.

3. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas - One of my other favorites of 2015. I love this series and need to get current before the next one comes out.

4. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - I actually started the Bloodlines series first but came back to start this one. Loved the entire series finished them one after another. I read them all in 2013. I actually loved the cheesy movie too.

5. Flight by Alyssa Rose Ivy - This is the first of her paranormal books which is where my obsession. I've read them all as they come out and love her books.

6. The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani - is the first in one of my favorite fairy tales series. I loved every moment of the series and can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating. In my case not so patiently waiting for the new releases, which I lack.

This weeks book is one that I had no idea was even in the works. One of my favorite series that I had to pre-order. I can't wait to get my hands on this book.

Choice this week is

With every end comes a new beginning in the fourth installment of Soman Chainani’s New York Times bestselling School for Good and Evil series, Quests for Glory. Join Sophie, Agatha, Tedros, and the other students as they begin a new era in the Endless Woods—The Camelot Years—where Evers and Nevers alike must move beyond the bounds of school and into the biggest, boldest adventures of their lives.

The students at the School for Good and Evil thought they had found their final Ever After when they vanquished the malevolent School Master. Now, on their required fourth-year quests, the students face obstacles both dangerous and unpredictable, and the stakes are high: success brings eternal adoration, and failure means obscurity forever.

For their quests, Agatha and Tedros are trying to return Camelot to its former splendor as queen and king. For her quest, Dean Sophie seeks to mold Evil in her own image. But soon they all feel themselves growing more isolated and alone. When their classmates’ quests plunge into chaos, however, someone must lead the charge to save them...

What are you waiting on?

Recently Feature & Follow has gotten a makeover now each week we will have a prompt to respond to.

Any other way you like.
My email followers are low and I'm working on changing that. However, you are welcome to follow in your preferred form.  If you want to follow via GFC just in case it goes away I ask you follow a second way, email, Linky, Bloglovin'. Thanks!!!!

This Week's Prompt:
What's your favorite opening scenes?

Answer:
Sophie had waited all her life to be kidnapped.

But tonight, all the other children of Gavaldon writhed in their beds. If the School Master took them, they’d never return. Never lead a full life. Never see their family again. Tonight these children dreamt of a red-eyed thief with the body of a beast, come to rip them from their sheets and stifle their screams.

I think The School for Good and Evil has a great opening scene. How many girls are wanting to be kidnapped? One of my favorite series.

Number Of Books You Read: 150
Number of Re-Reads: 2 - Clearly I wasn't into re-reading this year.
Genre You Read The Most From: Paranormal which happens to be my favorite Genre

1. Best Book You Read In 2015?
(If you have to cheat — you can break it down by genre if you want or 2013 release vs. backlist)
This one is tough because I had so many books I loved.

Sci fi - Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
Dystopia - Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Fantasy - A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
Paranormal - Fire in the Wood by Jennifer M. Eaton

I didn't have very many books I didn't enjoy this year. I guess I just did a lot of really good picking this round.

 3. Most surprising (in a good way or bad way) book you read?
Fatal Beauty by Nazarea Andrews was so not what I expected when I started it. Super surprising but in a very good way. It was wow. The cover was what captured my attention.

 4. Book You “Pushed” The Most People To Read (And They Did)?
I pushed Red Queen & A Court of Thorns and Roses the most.

Best series I started - The Collector by Victoria Scott - I have read the first I still need to finish it.

 14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2015 to finally read?
Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck - My first book by the author and I can't believe I waited so long. Plus side I don't have to wait for the next book in the series for a while.

 15. Favorite Passage/Quote From A Book You Read In 2015?
Hero by Samantha Young
“If that tired you out we need to get your stamina up. You should have been in the gym with me and Henry.”
I wrinkled my nose. “Um, no. The gym and I parted ways a long time ago. I’m in a relationship with Pilates and we’re very happy together.”
“Dancing,” Effie said, “now, that’s exercise and it’s fun. I’ve never seen the attraction in sitting in some smelly gym lifting weights.”
“Hear, hear,” I muttered.
“And then of course there’s sex. Lots and lots of sex.”
Caine’s fork clattered to his plate. He looked vaguely ill.
The snort I was trying to hold back bubbled up out of me and then Effie started cackling with laughter. It was infectious. I couldn’t stop my own from joining hers.
Caine looked from her to me, his lips pinched together. Finally he settled his irritation on me. “I will eat all of the lemon meringue pie,” he warned.

The thought cut off my laughter. “You can’t. Effie won’t let you.”

16.Shortest & Longest Book You Read In 2015?
Shortest - Heat Wave by  Rachel Real
