A tender slow burn, friends to lovers romance with depth, laughs, and a pinch of spice. Chasing the Goal is a story of showing up, stepping in, and falling hard—when only love plays for keeps.
Mallory Quince has her hands full, balancing a demanding career as the Hellblades’ newest athletic trainer, keeping her messy dating life in check, while avoiding any and all complications. Especially the kind that come with charming hockey players who wear their hearts on their sleeves.
Jaymie Prescott, star winger and secretly sweet nerd, isn’t Mallory’s type. He’s too genuine, too thoughtful, too… distracting. But after a flirty elevator ride, he’s suddenly everywhere—on the training table, in her apartment building, and, unintentionally, in her life in a much bigger way.
When a one-time mistake leads to a life-altering surprise… Jaymie doesn’t run, he shows up and just maybe he’s ready to prove he’s more than just a teammate, he might be exactly the partner Mallory didn’t know she needed.
My Review
I received Chasing The Goal in return for an honest review from the author.
After an injury Jaymie find himself working with the athletic trainer who just happens to capture his attention. However, Mallory doesn't want to mix business with pleasure so they keep it just friends. When fate takes a hand and sends Jaymie into her life Mallory finally starts to see there is more to the hockey player.
I loved Jaymie he's just a great guy and who doesn't love a hockey player with a heart of gold. I thought Mallory was fantastic she felt so real and if I was in her position I would have done the same thing. You can't help cheering them on as the story progress and I really felt like I could connect with the characters. I loved the first book with Logan and Ava and was so happy to seem them as side characters in this one.
This is my 2nd book by the author and I'm obsessed. I ended up devouring this one and couldn't put it down till the last page. The author has done a beautiful job creating a captivating story that captures my heart as well as my imagination. I can't wait to read the next installment and see who get's their happy ever next. I've enjoyed this story so much it was a perfect balance of story to romance. I loved every moment of it.
