Book Blogger Hop

This week's Question:
Do you share books? If so, do you have a system of keeping track of whom you lend books to?

Short answer no. Long answer is I used to share all the time but it is expensive replacing books that never seem to come back. I can't tell you how many copies of Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K Hamilton over the years. I'm too nice to push to get my books back so they always seem to walk away which is so sad. So I've decided I no longer loan them out anymore plus it allows me to buy more new books when I'm not always replacing the lost or kidnapped books.

What about you?

  1. Yeah I'm not a loaner outer either. Mostly because I fear what condition they'll come back in. I did loan two books to a friend once. They weren't really favorites, I didn't enjoy them at all. So I had no problem loaning them out and when she forgot to return them I told her it was no big deal. They weren't faves and she could have them. So that was a win-win sort of situation. But yeah...other times I pretty much just bought people they book they wanted to borrow. Luckily that really was only ever for my sister and my friend from school and just on birthday/xmas, so it wasn't like I was constantly buying them books! Lol!

  2. I like how you used the word "kidnapped" for unreturned books. :-) That's how it feels, doesn't it? I have been burned too many times when it comes to loaning out books by not having them returned too. I hope you have a great week!
