The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
Happy 4th of July!!!! I hope everyone is having a safe holiday weekend. In my part of California they have banned all fireworks due to Covid-19 and it's been really dry. Unfortunately, we are in another fire season it's been really hot the last few days but the days leading up to the weekend it was cooler and nice. I'm hoping we drop back down to mid 80's again. This past week has been quiet and productive, we are headed back into a lockdown state due to all the cases spiking.

Read the last week

I devoured the Of Fates & Fables trio this week. I loved every page, it quickly became one of my favorite series.
The Girl Who Cried Werewolf by Heather Hildenbrand & Bam Shepherd
The Girl Who Cried Captive by Heather Hildenbrand & Bam Shepherd
The Girl Who Cried War by Heather Hildenbrand & Bam Shepherd

Baking

I made a oreo cheesecake this week but with the weather it's to hot the whip cream just kept melting off the top. I hope it cools off more so I can do more baking it's just to hot and heats up the house.

  1. I finally have AC again so I'm hoping to do some baking. I want to try to make GF donuts this week. It's hot here in NC mid 90s now. Regardless of what the state is doing, we stay in lockdown as far as our family. We stay home and wear mask if we much go out. I get most things delivered. Enjoy your week!

    1. Gosh I can't imagine 90's with no AC. Thank goodness they got it working again. I've been hit or miss when it comes to making donuts. I bet they will be amazing!!!! I hope you have a nice week.

  2. Mmm, Oreo cheesecake. That looks awesome. Fireworks are banned here, too, but that didn’t stop the neighbors from setting off a ton of them. Have a great week!

    1. Thank you it turned out nice. We had some people who had illegal fireworks too. Thankfully we didn't have to many fires start up. My bestie has a fire that was started by illegal fireworks that's burned up so far over 500 acers in Southern California that they are working on putting out.

  3. That cheesecake looks immense! I love Oreo’s though here in Scotland we don’t get the same variety as in the States, every time I visit Florida I bring back packets of the Cinnamon Bun flavoured one.

Here in Scotland the lockdown is easing but I do worry that cases will rise, parts of England have went back in to lockdown, I feel its a matter of time before it happens here again.

    Have a good week!

    1. I'm hit or miss with some of the oreo flavors. I love the Birthday cake ones but I haven't seen them in weeks. My other favorite is the Caramel Coconut Oreos they are amazing, and I think I may have one package left.

I have friends in England who are saying the same thing back into lockdown. Hopefully, it won't make it to you guys but I agree it's only a matter of time. We are closing down across the country.

The way 2020 is going I'm waiting for my amazing pictures that Nessie is real.

I hope you have a great week.

  4. A wildfire on top of Coronavirus seems like a very bad idea!

I like the idea of a lemon Oreo cheesecake, but they don’t sell the flavour here!

Wishing you a great reading week

  5. The coronavirus spikes are terrible... I'm sure the UK will be in the same boat before too long now they've thrown open bars, restaurants etc.

I love Cheesecake and that sounds delicious!

    Have a good week!
