The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Another week of quarantine only this one just was a taste of what to expect this summer. We've started opening up retail and restaurants in my area but it's not worth fighting the crowded stores. I did hit Trader Joes which is my favorite place for fruit. Added a bunch to my fruit bowl.

We spent the week in triple digits most of the week or upper the rest of the week with a little break this weekend. Sadly we will be headed back to triple digits again this week. At least we have ac and can stay cool.

I ended up not cooking as much this week due to the heat. I did order a panini press so the munchkin and I have been making lots of sandwiches and pasta salad. I'm making a new batch of pasta salad today trying a new recipe.

Read the last week
Not much reading but we are down to the last few days of school so now we can get back into a normal routine. I miss having quiet time and doing the school struggle.
I have a summer list I can't wait to read.

  1. I read triple digits and pretty much melted. I couldn't even! I would never leave the house. I HATE hot weather! lol

I started Scarecrow but slowly reading it. I don't think we ever picked an end day but I figure whenever we finish we can chat about it. I am in no rush.

Make sure to share those recipes I LOVE pasta salad. It is one of my favorite things to eat.

I hope you have a great week, Mandy! Happy Reading! xx

  2. Wow that is too hot! It rained here (NC) all last week but now dry. It will be nice for a few days but then 90s which I'm not looking forward to it. I need to do the yard work before it heats up.

    Stay safe and be well!
