The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
I woke up to rain it's beautiful a fresh start to the new week. This past week the weather has been all over some days it's super warm upper 90s other days we aren't even over 70s. I feel like the weather has decided to play differently every day so it's been a weather adventure every time I open the windows. I suspect that it's going to be a hot summer inside no beaches in sight or pools. I've also planted some tomatoes again hopefully they will grow this year.
Another week of quarantine in the books. I can't believe we are starting another week in lockdown. Here in California, we have started to open up parts of the state but So Cal is still in lockdown till at least the end of July. I'm in No Cal we are opening counties in the area but mine is still closed. The governor has set up a 4 part system to get us all back to normal. However, I don't think we will be seeing a normal before the COVID-19 but a new normal basically a new world of more precautions and social distancing.
I've been doing a bunch of baking, working and homeschooling this week. I was hoping to get more reading done this week but the munchkin is so anti reading it's making it hard to find some reading time. I have ordered some graphic novels on amazon hopefully she will be more interested in reading as they arrive tomorrow. We've been video gaming a lot this week and binge-watching some Netflix and Hulu shows. Our only adventures out have been for dog food and a quick couple of trips to the grocery store.
Read the last week
I haven't done a lot of reading this week as I would have liked. Hopefully, this new week I can get back on track with my reading. I have so many amazing books I can't wait to read and want to dive right into.

New books
I've picked up a bunch of ebooks tons of freebies the last week as well as a bunch of one-clicks. It's so easy to forget how many I've one-clicked when I'm buying ebooks vs physical books. I miss visiting bookstores so much.

Baking
This week I made vanilla blueberry donuts with a lemon glaze they were so tasty. I have another batch of baked donuts on the plan this week just haven't decided which kind.
I also made a pizza in the skillet on the stove trying something new it turned out great my munchkin totally is down for doing these again.
Last I baked 2 rhubarb-strawberry custard pies on Mothers Day which just happen to be my favorite pie.
I have a whole bunch of baking ideas in the plans for the new week.

oh I'm here for the baking! I love rhubarb pie too, also my favorite. We don't have rhubarb here in NC much. I'd love to know your donut recipe. I'm doing baking but the days seem to go so fast.
ReplyDeleteIt's been hot the last days, almost 90, but now it's going to rain for 5 days.
Have a great week and stay well!

Mmm those donuts look delicious.
ReplyDeleteI hope the graphic novels are a hit.
Wishing you a great reading week
Those donuts look really good! I've been cooking everyday and surprisingly I don't mind it since we have no where we have to be anyway. I just finished reading American Dirt which I couldn't put down once I started it!
